About
The Club at Venetian Bay is part of a unique residential community with a Mediterranean theme. Colorful buildings, mosaics, and Mediterranean vegetation surround the championship golf course. The biggest challenge for the designers was transforming what was formerly a cow pasture into a lush, challenging course. The design team of Clifton, Ezell, and Clifton seemed to have little trouble doing so. The front nine plays through the woods while the back nine is more open with a few links-style touches. The most prominent feature of this golf course is the abundance of sand bunkers. There are more than 100 strategically placed throughout. The bunkers present a formidable test but they are nicely balanced with ample landing areas. They are also geared more towards low handicappers, which means they aren't intended to kill your round.

Good value
We played the morning of us thanksgiving
Course was fairly quiet round took 3 1/2,hours
Course was in good condition with greens being very fast
Only complaint was the brake lock on both of our carts were not working we had to be careful where you stopped on every shot and green or the cart would roll away

Hope it improves
First time at this course and hope the course superintendent is able to remove all the invasive grass on the greens before they lose them. But to do so, the invasive grass in the fairways and tee boxes will also need to be eradicated. Enjoyed the course layout but was disappointed the price point did not match the course conditions.

Couse is always a work in progress as they try to improve the condition. Played after several days of rain, the course was wet and players had driven through wet areas leaving ruts. Fortunately most wet areas were in the ruff and did not affect most shots.

Weeds
My first time playing is course paid too much money for it weeds all over the green horrible nice layout can't put on the green so because it has weeds all over the place would not recommend this course I know I won't go back and play it

Getting better but greens need time to heal
Most of course was in above average condition however greens were aerated and top dressed not long ago and need more time to heal.

Nice layout bad shape
Paid $50 to play this course it's not worth 35 got people out there working while you're trying to play golf it don't happen on a good golf course Grainger in bad shape bumpy nothing but crab grass all over Greens in the fridge 35 hour course at the most don't even have a beverage cart
