About
The Club at Venetian Bay is part of a unique residential community with a Mediterranean theme. Colorful buildings, mosaics, and Mediterranean vegetation surround the championship golf course. The biggest challenge for the designers was transforming what was formerly a cow pasture into a lush, challenging course. The design team of Clifton, Ezell, and Clifton seemed to have little trouble doing so. The front nine plays through the woods while the back nine is more open with a few links-style touches. The most prominent feature of this golf course is the abundance of sand bunkers. There are more than 100 strategically placed throughout. The bunkers present a formidable test but they are nicely balanced with ample landing areas. They are also geared more towards low handicappers, which means they aren't intended to kill your round.

Couse is always a work in progress as they try to improve the condition. Played after several days of rain, the course was wet and players had driven through wet areas leaving ruts. Fortunately most wet areas were in the ruff and did not affect most shots.
We are so pleased that you enjoyed your time at The Club at Venetian Bay. We look forward to seeing you on the course soon for another 5-star experience!
Weeds
My first time playing is course paid too much money for it weeds all over the green horrible nice layout can't put on the green so because it has weeds all over the place would not recommend this course I know I won't go back and play it

Getting better but greens need time to heal
Most of course was in above average condition however greens were aerated and top dressed not long ago and need more time to heal.

Nice layout bad shape
Paid $50 to play this course it's not worth 35 got people out there working while you're trying to play golf it don't happen on a good golf course Grainger in bad shape bumpy nothing but crab grass all over Greens in the fridge 35 hour course at the most don't even have a beverage cart

Play in condition
Horses in bad shape lot of crabgrass all over the place on the greens just off the greens on a fringe of the greens nothing but crabgrass don't have no car girl you talked to the people there in the cart breaks down every 10 minutes bring your own beverages Porsche has a twenty-five $30 course they want $50 not worth it

Good and Getting Better
I have played this course multiple times since it’s opened. Clearly the staff now is working very hard to get the course back to its early days after it was built. Hopefully this path continues and I look forward to playing here again when we return in the Spring.

time to work on mid-irons
course in good shape, needed to work on my "mid-irons" greens in better than descent shape, didn't make many putts, didn't miss by much.. good time.

Another Great Round
Weather was perfect the course was in very good condition. Greens were true. We’ve out a fee times these past couple of months. Enjoy the course set up and Bruce, the starter is very friendly and provides all the info you need to get through the course. He als has a great sense of humor which is relaxing when starting out. Great day!

Average but not bad
I have played Venetian Bay a number of times. The course has several holes that are over-watered. It was playing better a couple weeks back when we had more rain. I can only guess that they are over-watering the course due to anticipated dryer weather. The greens have yet to recover from being plugged a number a weeks ago. If they were to roll them a bit, they would be much better. The bunkers and tee boxes were in good shape. Overall, I rated my experience as average mostly because of the current condition of the fairways and greens. Not that the greens were bad. Just in need of rolling. With a little TLC I think it could be back to a 4 star course. Maybe I'm a little critical. Considering the condition of courses in the area, I think it's a fair valuation. LPGA is in far better condition, Spruce creek is a little better. I wouldn't hesitate to play there again. I've just seen it in better shape.
