Excellent Course!
Great layout and meticulously maintained. Played the Oaks/Creek combination and really enjoyed it. Fairways are in great condition. Greens were punched a few weeks back but roll really well. Really friendly staff too. We will be back for sure. One of the best courses we have played in the Sarasota area

Best practice facility around and then you check with starter.. Off and running Creek to Oaks.. My opinion the best 2 nines to play.. Course couldn’t be better, even though recently punched greens they were very puttable

Aeration
No mention of course beingnaerated. No mention of cart path only. And price for a summer after 12pm round was o e of the highest inbthe area.
They should've mentioned it somewhere before I made the drive 45 minutes. The pro shop should've said something about conditions.
And the range was closed.
Just very disappointing.

over priced
love playing heron creek normally but with holes in the greens and cart path only on some holes with no knowledge of this prior to turning up, i can't believe you are charging $59 the fairways on the oaks were a joke and the greens were very slow and putting was a real waste of time . VERY disappointed and felt robbed

Over Charged for aerated greens
I took the place of a friend who could not make it today. He told me it would be "cheap to play" because it is summer and he recently played here. I had no idea they recently punched the greens. I just had a chat with him. He had no idea they just punched either. Very disappointed to pay $45 to play this course in this condition. I will not be back and will tell others how clueless the cart staff and gal working pro shop were. I just did not get treated with any respect.

Great Florida Track
Great Florida golf course. It's beautiful to play. We pretty much had the course to ourselves. Played after 12pm. I noticed there are 27 holes, one course was closed and our back nine they had sanded the greens to fill them in. This didn't bother me too much, I knew the purpose of this. The greens have undulations and the fairways are open. Definitely want to play this course again with another hot deal.

Great Course
Long drive to get there so only play occasionally. Course always in good condtion but needs better drainage system. Lots of standing water/ wet conditions after rains. One of best in South/West Florida. When I rate courses I always think of Augusta National/Pebble Beach and many others of that class and that under the rating system of 1-5 stars they are 5 star, its difficult to rate a course as 5 star. If there were a separate rating system for those then Heron Creek might deserve 5 stars.

Greens are punched. They should tell you. I understand that it needs to happen but they should list it on golf now. There is an option.
