Cypress Head Golf Club

About
Cypress Head, an Arthur Hills design, is a blend of holes and styles, a layout of two distinct nines that impress players through different means. At 6,805 yards from the tournament tees, the course is not a beast (there are three alternative sets to choose from).
The first nine is the highlight at Cypress Head. These holes take on a variety of shapes and strategies with little repetition.
It features multi-tiered undulating greens and preserved wetlands with water coming into play on 14 of the 18 holes. The 14th hole is a 478-yard par 4 over water that comes into play off the tee as well as the second shot to the multi tiered green.
The Golf Club also features a lighted driving range and practice facility. Two practice putting greens, a target green and sand bunkers for honing your skills before taking on the challenges of the course
With its' superb conditions and beautiful wetlands setting, Cypress Head is a public club that offers a private and tranquil experience.

Great course
Was in town on vacation saw the ordeal and the reviews had to give it a chance. Course didn’t disappoint great course with some great holes. Will be in the rotation next vacation.
Decent course, terrible communication
Golf course overall is decent. Not a bad layout at all. Piece of play was great as a single l, until I ran into two foursomes in front of me. Slowed down drastically after that. Tee, fairway, and rough conditions weren’t bad for what I saw of the golf course. The greens were bad though. Showed up to play 18 holes on a prepaid round. Got there only to be informed that they were only allowing the back nine to be played, because they were aerating the front nine. The back nine had just been aerated. There was no discount offered, and nothing posted on their webpage or golf now to let someone know this was the case. Incredibly frustrating to pay for a round of golf, to find out the course is not in true playable condition, and that you can’t even play the entire course. This is the scenario where a refund would be applicable. Would post pictures, however, file size keeps limiting uploads. Would recommend calling the course to check conditions before booking.
Great layout challenging but scoreable.
Great conditions first time playing while on vacation from Texas. Everyone at the course was super friendly. Played as a single and three groups let me play thru. Everyone was super friendly. Had a little rain and lighting delay but finished in just over two hours. Greens were great and fairways were solid some tee boxes struggling a little bit overall great experience for me.
Pleased
Started on Back 9 and conditions were very good.
Front nine had a few tee boxes that needed work along with a few spots in the fairways.
The only complaint is that the speed of the practice green was much faster than the course greens.
8 footers kept coming up 3’ short.
Only problem was we had a newby playing with us that was bad and slow and who was trying to play from the blue tees. 1 shorter than the tips. 4:45 to play.
Great course
This has to be on of my favorite golf courses near me.
Staff is wonderful.
The course is a great layout. Challenging but fair.
It’s in good shape.
Only negative a few tee boxes are pretty thin when it comes to having grass. I’m a guy who prefers not teeing it up on a par 3.
That’s a challenge here.
Overall a wonderful course to enjoy.
BEST COURSE IN THE WHOLE AREA
DONT MISS THIS ONE GREAT COURSE CONDITIONS FRIENDLY WELCOME MY FAVORITE COURSE TO PLAY IN THE AREA CAUGHT A PRICE BREAK THRU GOLF NOW I KNOW ITS NOT CHEAP KEEPING THESE GREAT CONDITIONS JUST HARD TO PLAY HERE THAT OFTEN BECAUSE OF MY BUDGET BUT FOR YOU WILL LOVE IT YOU OUT THERE PLAY IT
In great shape
Most golf courses around here are in rough shape but Cypress Head is in great shape greens had been aerated recently but still worth the money.
Course in excellent condition .
Some very good holes and then a couple of really short par 3's .
Plenty of water .
We played behind two 4 balls as a 2 ball and another 2 ball behind . We were held up for 18 holes .
Staff wouldn't let us tee off on the other 9 even though tee was empty .
Over 4 hours 15 mins for a 2ball !!!!!!!!
Put this course on your list
Course was in good shape and the pace of play was good as well. Course design was fair. Everyone was pleasant and accommodating and took the extra step. Will play again next time in the area.
I would play agsin
Course conditions could use some water.
White tees were pretty dry and rough. Greens were still sandy and slow. Fairways in pretty good shspe.
Course layout is challenging.
Staff is very friendly.
Great Public Course
Played here on a golf trip. Greens were sanded a few days ago, but they still rolled smooth and true. Great layout and friendly people. Will definitely play here again when I’m in the area.
Another great round at Cypress Head
One of the best layouts in Central Florida. Always in good shape and good pace of play, better than LPGA all around. They just need some rain
Tricky little course
It's not your typical layout when you think of Florida being flat. It's challenging from the farthest tees to the shortest tees. Can give all handicaps a challenge. Give it a try, I don't think you will be disappointed.
