About
Cypress Head, an Arthur Hills design, is a blend of holes and styles, a layout of two distinct nines that impress players through different means. At 6,805 yards from the tournament tees, the course is not a beast (there are three alternative sets to choose from).
The first nine is the highlight at Cypress Head. These holes take on a variety of shapes and strategies with little repetition.
It features multi-tiered undulating greens and preserved wetlands with water coming into play on 14 of the 18 holes. The 14th hole is a 478-yard par 4 over water that comes into play off the tee as well as the second shot to the multi tiered green.
The Golf Club also features a lighted driving range and practice facility. Two practice putting greens, a target green and sand bunkers for honing your skills before taking on the challenges of the course
With its' superb conditions and beautiful wetlands setting, Cypress Head is a public club that offers a private and tranquil experience.

Course is in good condition
Good condition. Greens were good, held shots well but could be quicker. Fairways we're in good condition. Only saw the bev cart once but stared late. Saw a marshal a few times and pace of play was good

Fun Track
My buddies do a Florida golf swing every year. This has become a staple—great staff and facilities. The course has a quirky layout, back-to-back 3's and 5's... but is in great shape and fun to play. Check it out for yourself.
Good course, great customer service
Had a great time playing Cypress Head for the first time. Course has a tough but forgiving layout. Some narrow fairways with definite hazards looming. The staff was excellent. Visiting from San Diego, and this pro shop and working staff just so much more personable than back home courses. Golfing was a good time with Brian, Blake and Dennis. Blake knew every inch of that course. Definitely playing this course again my next visit.
LPGA International Has Gone Downhill
Last time i played this course was a couple of year ago and the conditions and service was excellent. It has certainly gone down hill. We started 20 minutes after our tee time and it ended up being a 5 hr. 15 min. round. The service at the half way house was very slow and unfriendly. The course itself was not in the greatest shape. The greens rolled ok but there were bare spots in the fairways as well as tee boxes and the bunkers were not well kept. Hopefully they make an effort to improve as I did enjoy it in the past.
Great course
Great course. Really good condition all around. Only issue was some slow players in front of us, but the staff took care of that and we finished in a normal pace.
Great course
The course is in great shape. No houses right on the course which is rare in Florida. Staff is friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back
Beautiful course and layout, well maintained, great staff
It was quite a pleasure playing Cypress Head for the first time. The staff was amazing and the course was in fantastic shape. Kudos to the greens keepers and maintenance staff. Greens are rolling perfect and true. Pace of play was perfect. Just a lovely day of golf. We drove out about an hour and a half and it was well worth the drive. If you’re ever in the port Orange area or want to play a fun course with a cool layout this is the one. I’ll be back again for sure.
Worth a visit
A real challenge from the back tees and a lot of fun further forward. Course was in decent shape and the staff were helpful and friendly. In my opinion the best of the public courses around New Smyrna.
