About
Cypress Head, an Arthur Hills design, is a blend of holes and styles, a layout of two distinct nines that impress players through different means. At 6,805 yards from the tournament tees, the course is not a beast (there are three alternative sets to choose from).
The first nine is the highlight at Cypress Head. These holes take on a variety of shapes and strategies with little repetition.
It features multi-tiered undulating greens and preserved wetlands with water coming into play on 14 of the 18 holes. The 14th hole is a 478-yard par 4 over water that comes into play off the tee as well as the second shot to the multi tiered green.
The Golf Club also features a lighted driving range and practice facility. Two practice putting greens, a target green and sand bunkers for honing your skills before taking on the challenges of the course
With its' superb conditions and beautiful wetlands setting, Cypress Head is a public club that offers a private and tranquil experience.

Great muni course!
Played Cypress Head for the first time. For a municipal course the pace of play was a bit crazy, very busy. But the condition of the course made up for the pace. Fantastic. Better than others in the area. CH is now part of my rotation.
Decent track…Slow play!
Course was quirky but fun. Back to back 3s and 5s. Can’t say I’ve seen either before.
We were a two some and the third group off. The three ahead of us were slow and had 17 holes to let us pass, but never did. They moved in slow motion and did not seem to care that they were gumming up the works. Not sure any of them broke 100, but dang…every putt mattered.
Anyway, fun track if you’re in the area. Greens were good.
Great courses for the money
Really enjoyed the course today except getting rained out. Always come back and play this course, the staff is always professional and very friendly. Green in great shape though a little slow.
Excellent course in excellent shape.
I recently played LPGA and I can honestly say that Cypress Head was every bit as well manicured as LPGA was.
Great layout which can present a challenge to a less skilled golfer who has trouble getting the ball in the air.

Course was in great condition. Have always enjoyed this course.
Excellent course
This course was in excellent condition the day I played. Most of the holes are reasonably open so you can get away with a few stray shots. Greens were in excellent shape. I played as a single and got around in about two and a half hours. Would have been done sooner, but got held up by a very slow foursome on the last 4-5 holes. Only issue with the course was the tee boxes being closed on one of the front+nine par 5s; they placed the tee markers in the rough near one of the forward tees.
Will be good when the greens come back from arification
Greens were recently punched so they are rough right now. The rest of the course in in good shape. Mr. Wonderful in the pro shop could use a little personality but all the other staff were very nice. Cypreshead is a fairly challenging golf course and that’s why I like it. If you’re not a scratch golfer, you should play from the white tees.

Had a rain delay for about half an hour.Went to clubhouse after 6th hole due to rain.Came back out and went to back nine. Finished back nine by 4:30 and decided to go back to front nine to play the last three holes we missed. Cart person followed us out to 7th hole and asked why we were playing the last three holes. Told him we were rained delayed and were playing these last holes we missed. He told us we were the only people out on the course and were holding him up from going home and this was 5 o'clock in the afternoon.Who does this.
Great course layout
Challenging course but handicap friendly. You should play for gateway and hole position to score well.
Nice Layout
Course was in good shape, greens were a bit slow and a bit grainy but consistent throughout. Several scenic type holes with good amount of water and swamp.
Challenging but fair
This is my first time playing Cypress Head. I was impressed with the condition of the course with how dry it’s been. Fairways in pretty good shape and greens held well struck approach shots. They Putt well too, rolling smoothly. Lay out and design were scenic and enjoyable. Front nine was a little more difficult and challenging to me with tighter fairways. I plan to revisit this course!
