Cypress Head Golf Club
About
Cypress Head, an Arthur Hills design, is a blend of holes and styles, a layout of two distinct nines that impress players through different means. At 6,805 yards from the tournament tees, the course is not a beast (there are three alternative sets to choose from).
The first nine is the highlight at Cypress Head. These holes take on a variety of shapes and strategies with little repetition.
It features multi-tiered undulating greens and preserved wetlands with water coming into play on 14 of the 18 holes. The 14th hole is a 478-yard par 4 over water that comes into play off the tee as well as the second shot to the multi tiered green.
The Golf Club also features a lighted driving range and practice facility. Two practice putting greens, a target green and sand bunkers for honing your skills before taking on the challenges of the course
With its' superb conditions and beautiful wetlands setting, Cypress Head is a public club that offers a private and tranquil experience.

Two tone greens! Photo submitted by webelos on 05/15/2014
Course was wet due to extreme rains
Wet but in good shape as fairways were recently mowed
Green have been plugged recentlly
They were as good as u could expect
Thank you for playing Cypress Head Golf Club. Yes, the rain has been very heavy this year, we appreciate that you came out to play despite the weather.
Good course not so good treatment
Rainy day cart path only. Played front in one hour fifteen minutes. Went to back nine there were three groups on number ten. All players said lady at desk who was acting as ranger sent them off on back. Had to wait 20 minutes to hit. Not so great decision. By the way all could have been sent off the front like me not sure why I got the short end of the stick
OKAY
The course is starting to get brown. The rain now should help but, the course needs to continue to water after the storms end. You have a nice course, please take care of it and be a premium course. I would guess the word will get around and they will come and play.
The greens need help!!!
First time playing here and the layout is good. It does help to know the holes.
The tee boxes were in pretty good shape and the fairways were good, but the greens were Horrible!!!! I noticed it on the putting green and hoped it would be better on the course. Sadly, no.
Need a lot of water. Looks like they could lose them. A lot of bare spots.
Getting Brown
I have asked before that they need to turn on the water, to keep the course nice. They for some reason refuse to do that to keep it nice. I like the course but, when it gets brown I am not sure I will keep coming back. Please put some water on the course. Even the help thinks it needs water.
WATER WATER WATER!!!
Great course,good value.
Always enjoy playing here, great layout, good conditions.
Getting there
The course is finally getting in shape. Hopefully, once it gets very nice they will keep it that way. There will be no excuses. Please do not cut the fairways so close. It is GREAT to have the ball setting up to be able to hi. Tight lies are hard to hit. We are all not pros or low handicap golfers/
Course Neat, Greens Need Work, Food Excellent
When I arrive at a course, I expect to be able to drop my bag and have it handled. That works well here. Then it's nice to be welcomed in the pro shop. All good here, too. Then I usually head over to hit a few putts. Yikes. They call this a green? Putting green very slow, dense. Seems like it's time for a little aerating. Grass looks like poanna. Maybe it is. As I headed to the first tee, I'm not too excited about my first trip around this place - but I found the course to be interesting, greens rolled better than the practice green but still need some work - and maybe some water. Hard to make a divot most of the day. The food in the restaurant is superb. They do ribs every Saturday. A half rack is plenty, ask for the fries to be crunchy. Really good. Oh, you can walk here. There is some distance between the greens and tees but I plan to walk it with my pushcart.
Great Front 9 Flooded out Back 9
Cypress Head is a shorter course but laid out with water and bunkers so that is still plenty challenging. Course is excellent condition. Didn't get to play back 9 as a very heavy storm came in and flooded the course with a couple inches of water standing in the fairways and around greens. Can't wait to go back and play back 9.
Nice layout,terrible greens
We played here not ong after the course had been redone.Liked it.The greens were a little slow but were very good. Now we played and the "greens" were brown, hard as a rock and bumpy.we played in the afternoon and were behind some 4 some playing some kind of match with a referee.Looked like a 2 man scramble. We waited on evrery tee and every shot while these inconsidate, slow players took their time playing.Oter golfers were starting to line up behind us and 1 couple drove around us the the "big" match in front of us.We finally went arond them on 14 so we cold get done before dark.I hope one of those players read this, but you can't fix stupid. If you talk to any pro today he will say that slow play is the biggest problem in golf today. If you can't play faster then let the rest of the golfers go through!!!
The Course is really nice I have payed on many occasions
I recommend this course to any of my friends
Great as Always
Always a good time at this course great conditions nice people good food and drink in the bar/restaurant
Really like this golf course
Always a great time at Cypress Head nice bar/ restaurant staff A.+
Worth the Drive from Orlando
Enjoyed very much this golf facility. The par 3 greens can be challenging even though they only require a short iron. The water hazards on the back nine are very interesting but placement is key to a good score. The conditions were very good throughout the course, including the practice facilities. It was a busy place for the start of a weekend and I feel fortunate to manage to obtain a tee time with so many dedicated golfers who seem ready to support this facility better than average.
slow play
I have golfed here many times and I love the course, always good conditions and friendly staff. but today was very slow play and didn't enjoy my round. they really should have a ranger. I know I am more hesitant to book another round here because of this but I will go back because it is a nice course and staff is very friendly. people really need to pick it up a bit and allow others to play through if open wholes ahead of them. PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE OF OTHERS!!!
enjoyable greens and fairways
holes 2, 3, and 4 are tough on the front but can be played on par with some good shots, but be ready for some bogeys on the front few holes. course is very challenging but doable. folks are nice and courteous
Needs Work
The course needs some TLC. The layout is good but, they need to let the fairways grows so that there is something to hit from besides dirt. I beg of you guys asm I do with oher courses in the area. You pin placements were terriblely unfair, We all are not professionals. We are just wating to have a good time not go for a million dollar prize. Really guys.
Thank you for your review of Cypress Head Golf Club. We truly appreciate your business.
