Cypress Head Golf Club
About
Cypress Head, an Arthur Hills design, is a blend of holes and styles, a layout of two distinct nines that impress players through different means. At 6,805 yards from the tournament tees, the course is not a beast (there are three alternative sets to choose from).
The first nine is the highlight at Cypress Head. These holes take on a variety of shapes and strategies with little repetition.
It features multi-tiered undulating greens and preserved wetlands with water coming into play on 14 of the 18 holes. The 14th hole is a 478-yard par 4 over water that comes into play off the tee as well as the second shot to the multi tiered green.
The Golf Club also features a lighted driving range and practice facility. Two practice putting greens, a target green and sand bunkers for honing your skills before taking on the challenges of the course
With its' superb conditions and beautiful wetlands setting, Cypress Head is a public club that offers a private and tranquil experience.

Cypress Head visit
Good golf for your buck!
Fairly open course well maintain
Thanks
GREAT COURSE
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FLORIDA GEM ALWAYS A PLEASURE TO PLAY WHEN I FIND IT AT A GOOD PRICE GREAT STAFF
Nice layout but ....
Although one of my favorites, the course is still recovering from the September hurricane. Bumpy greens, muddy traps and spongy tee boxes will dry out someday, I'll check back in a month.
Great course
Second time we have played this course. Both times were very enjoyable. Challenging course but not overwhelming. Highly Recommend.
Nice course close to home
Staff were friendly and helpful. Recent rains made parts of the course a little wet but that was beyond the control of a course management. Courses pretty open. Overall a good course and an excellent value
Will play again
When reading this review, please remember that this area of Florida has received much more rain than it usually does.
The course was very wet necessitating cart path only tiles. The wet also affected some shots, limited roll on many shots, and made it difficult to find balls on (the deep) rough.
The teeing areas need work. The greens and fairways were in good shape but we needed to use the casual water rule often.
We played after 10:00 but saw no one else on the course. Pace of play was not a factor.
The course has a ranger and we saw him.
We did not use any of the facilities so I cannot comment.
The course has at least two oddities. The front has two par threes back to back (6 & 7). On the back there are consecutive par fives (17 $ 28).
Pricing
Booked reservation day of on GN. Canceled meeting. Upon arrival to the pro shop the associate informed me that the price was $10 more expensive than advertised. I showed him my reservation and he still didn't honor the price. Played anyway...course was soaked. But in decent shape other wise. Could be an awesome track. Played by myself and starter told me to go off on the back 9. I was excited, by myself, would able to fly through and possibly have a 3 hour round...nope stuck behind two guys, couldn't pass due to cart path only.
One of my favorites in the area
Cypress Head is one of my all time favorite courses. I love the layout, especially the risk/reward of all 4 of the par 5's. The staff does a great job of always keeping this course in good condition even after a hurricane comes thru. There is some wet spots at the moment but it is definitely playable.
Staff is usually pretty friendly but on this day they were lacking a bit. Starter wouldn't allow singles to go out even though the course was WIDE open. Kind of odd in my opinion. But still I highly recommend this course.
Well kept Municipal Course
Been playing Cypreshead for many years from time to time. Always in decent shape. The greens were a little slower than normal but healthy. The rest of the course is in good shape. Challenging layout, good value. Will keep it in the rotation.
Nice Golf Course
Played with 4 and all of us enjoyed the course. Would play there again. Nice layout with nice greens. Staff very friendly from arrival to finish. Good value.
Cypress Head
A very nice short coarse. One par three was only 87 yards and two par 4"s under 300 yards. The coarse is well maintained and the staff very friendly.
Nice course
The course was very nice looking, I was on vacation but only got to play 4 holes because of the weather. The pro shop staff was very friendly and the starter ask me some questions to get me on my way.
First time and definitely not the last!
This is a beautiful golf course well taken care of and the staff is wonderful pro shop and the restaurant our whole day was pure pleasure a definite must play! You won't be disappointed playing this course!
Thank you so much :)
Great course for the money
We got out about 20 minutes before our scheduled tee time. The front nine was vey wet, the back nine was a little drier. The clubhouse had a sign stating that it was cart path only on 4,13 and 14 but actually it was cart path only on about 8 holes. It was a challenging course for any level of golfer.
Nice Course, Avoid Weekends!
A nice moderately challenging course. We had a nice round, but there was a lot of waiting to tee off or move to the next hole. Just goes to show you should avoid playing the weekends if you can.
