Cypress Head Golf Club
About
Cypress Head, an Arthur Hills design, is a blend of holes and styles, a layout of two distinct nines that impress players through different means. At 6,805 yards from the tournament tees, the course is not a beast (there are three alternative sets to choose from).
The first nine is the highlight at Cypress Head. These holes take on a variety of shapes and strategies with little repetition.
It features multi-tiered undulating greens and preserved wetlands with water coming into play on 14 of the 18 holes. The 14th hole is a 478-yard par 4 over water that comes into play off the tee as well as the second shot to the multi tiered green.
The Golf Club also features a lighted driving range and practice facility. Two practice putting greens, a target green and sand bunkers for honing your skills before taking on the challenges of the course
With its' superb conditions and beautiful wetlands setting, Cypress Head is a public club that offers a private and tranquil experience.

Great Course
Course in great shape. T boxes, fairways, greens all excellent! Will definitely come back!!
Nice Course
Very open and excellent conditions (except greens were sandy/aerated). Pace of play was great. Beautiful fairways.
Regular Men's Group Proud of Their Slow Play
So, we played there Saturday morning. We were the first group out after a regular men's group of 20 players. We were a twosome and the other two that were booked at our tee time did not show up. A player in the men's group overheard the starter telling us this and laughed. He said we should probably go off the back 9 since they were going to be very slow. He said this to me directly. I told him maybe he should tell his group to speed it up. It really showed the arrogance of the regular players there. They took the maximum 4:15 on a very hot day. In contrast, I played today at another comparable course that was fairly busy and we got around in just over 3 hours. On a very hot day, getting out of the hot sun an hour plus sooner makes a big difference to us old guys. Other than that, we like the course. Other than the holes 3-5 which are a little tricky, the course is wide open and fairly easy. The course is longer than the yardages indicate because all 4 par-3s are very short. One par-3 is only 70 yards - but has a real tricky green. The senior tees are 5,100 yards but it plays like 5,600 yards. So, beware. The regular men's tees are 5,700 but play like 6,000 yards. We drive an hour to play there because the course is in good condition.
Fun morning
I have played here a few times. The courses in excellent condition. It has a very interesting layout due to the neighborhood it is in but it is equal parts, challenging, and fun. I was part of the first foursome off on Sunday morning. Our group was thrown together as a hodgepodge of skill levels. The starter and the Clubhouse crew strive for peak efficiency. We played the first hole with a couple who were interested in taking their time and being together. When we got to the first green, they suggested the two of us take off and play ahead of them. We did, and got around in three hours. Great course, awesome shape. Give it a shot!
Great track in Daytona area.
Wonderful place to play, such a friendly staff and affordable.
Cypress Head has all the golf shots you want..
Fun Course
Enjoyed a round at Cypress Head. Course was in great condition. Greens were slow but in good shape. Good variation of holes, great staff. Will be back
Very nice conditions. Greens were a little slow due to their length but otherwise nice grass.
Excellent condition!
I play at Cypress Head about once a month. The course is in as good of condition as ever.
Best condition golf course I played on in a long while.
Went out on Tuesday as a twosome met up with two other guys played 18 holes and never saw another person. And that’s not even the best part of the round , it’s the conditions of this golf course. I know it impressed me because I filled every single divot hole.
One of the best layouts in Florida
A fantastic place to play golf.
Friendly personnel, challenging course.
Makes you want to live there. No
Cypress head
Course in excellent condition only issue were thé greens that had been worked on.
A little disappointing
Usually when a course has recentlyaerated their greens there is a course alert on Golfnow.
This was not the case when I played here recently, nor did the staff mention this when I checked in and paid.
Understanding that this is necessary to maintain good greens it would have been nice to have been informed.
The greens were total sand and it was extremely frustrating.
Especially disappointing considering I drove almost an hour to play this course. Lesson learned, check before you book.
