About
This Treasure Coast golfing jewel embraces the traditional values of golf course architecture emphasizing shot value, variety and dramatic effect. Meandering through an 800 home residential community, St James offers 4 sets of tees for individual playing ability and a challenging round for all levels. The 6800 yard, par 72 design features 64 dramatic bunkers and 17 water hazards. The club also offers a state-of-the-art practice facility, with natural grass tee, simulated fairway bunker and dedicated short game area with putting green.

Greens need work!
Played ok very windy greens are all in really bad shape. Very bumpy. Not easy to read or find good places to putt from.

Course is nothing special
Sandy greens with several damaged putting surfaces and the fairways were in average condition. We waited on every shot ( some holes a two group backup).

Greens were in terrible shape. 16 looked like someone drove a car or something all over the green. Number one had a gouge near the whole. Had to move the ball so you could putt. I won’t be going back.

Poor Greens and Pace of Play
I hadn't played this course in awhile and had heard that the conditions were poor. That feedback was accurate! The greens, which have always been spot on, were in bad shape. It appears the 16th green was vandalized. There was no ranger to maintain the pace of play, which was terrible. Lastly, there were no Styrofoam cups for water (all other courses provide them so COVID can't be the reason for not having them).
Tee placements
Just needs another set of tees in between their 6200 and 6800 yard options. Or a mixed tee option to get the yardage to something more playable for an average golfer without making the course too short.

Course in bad shape, especially greens. No rangers, two twosomes held up us , a foursome. Lots of room for improvement .

Reasonable value for cost.
Fairways are a bit rough. Winter rules need apply. Greens for most part are good, but a few have damage on them. Staff are great.
