About
This Treasure Coast golfing jewel embraces the traditional values of golf course architecture emphasizing shot value, variety and dramatic effect. Meandering through an 800 home residential community, St James offers 4 sets of tees for individual playing ability and a challenging round for all levels. The 6800 yard, par 72 design features 64 dramatic bunkers and 17 water hazards. The club also offers a state-of-the-art practice facility, with natural grass tee, simulated fairway bunker and dedicated short game area with putting green.

Like the course
The red (firward) tees are in fairways and most of them are not on flat ground. I understand having the forward tees, but would be nice to have a level 'tee box'

Enjoyed the Day
Would have given this course an excellent rating except that the fairways need work. Very sparse
which made it difficult to hit off of.

Tee times too close together
The course is decent, greens are fast but pace of play ,,,,,,well over 5 hours very frustrating. The tee times are just too close together so you wait a long time for every hole…you lose your rhythm!
If they would fix the pace, we would play more often!

Good course if you have all day to play
This is a good course in decent shape and
a good layout. My only complaint is the ridiculous pace of play. Had to quit after 14 holes because it took over 4 hours and it looked like it would take at least another hour to finish. No rangers to move players along. Over booking tee times. Not a pleasant experience. I wouldn't recommend this course unless you have all day to play a round.

Fun
Wind was blowing so fun downwind but a tough
against. Love the layout. I'm 71 and I play the men's or white tees. Mostly mid to short irons on approach.par 3s are very good. Although there water on a lot of holes it's not in play mostly. Friendly staff. Provide 6 pack cooler with ice no charge if you get a 6. Great practice areas with chipping,sand and driving range. Putting area located by firsts tee.

Fun for all
Pretty good shape considering all the rain we had. Played s little longer as a result. Fairways and bunkers in good shape. I like the layout and unlike most Florida courses, there's room off the tee and limited water features to contend with.
