About
This Treasure Coast golfing jewel embraces the traditional values of golf course architecture emphasizing shot value, variety and dramatic effect. Meandering through an 800 home residential community, St James offers 4 sets of tees for individual playing ability and a challenging round for all levels. The 6800 yard, par 72 design features 64 dramatic bunkers and 17 water hazards. The club also offers a state-of-the-art practice facility, with natural grass tee, simulated fairway bunker and dedicated short game area with putting green.

Nice challenging course
Staff was very friendly. Pace of play was great. There was no one in front of me all 18 holes. Will definitely return.
Wide Open
Very playable yet challenging course. Friendly staff. We just about had the course to ourselves. Too hot for some people I guess...

When in town
I played it in January, left a review, when I was back in May I looked forward to playing it again.
I guess that would be a compliment.
The 16th green was in better shape the second time around, really enjoyed the course.

another slow round
you get what you pay for. only one of us was playing tee to green. the other only putted because of recent surgery. Conditions: tee boxes were mostly weeds, horrible shape; fairways were thin and dry but playable; greens were the best part of the day, fast and true. Pace of play was slow on the front 9, 2.5 hours. back 9 was slowed down by 4sum of 20 something guys 3 groups ahead who looked like they were only there for the party. we left after 15 holes and 4 + hours. there was a 4sum who just teed off on a par 5 (group ahead was on the green), and a 2sum ahead of us still to tee off. Will not return any time soon.

Great wide course
This is a great beginner course that simply needs more off course amenities. Would be nice to see a restaurant or other type of indoor facility. Would be a great night time 9 hole course.

Played this course twice in the last 3 days and will be back. For the money it's a steal.

Rookie Review
I’m not a semi rookie at the game so consider that I enjoyed the challenge of this course but it was also forgiving as well. Weeds were a concern near the greens but we enjoyed our round and the price was very good!

Poor shape
Dry, dry, dry. I don’t know why a lot of course’s won’t water their fairways and TeeOff’s!! Greens were ok. I will not play here again. Goat track..

Really a 4.5
Our foursome had not played here in over a year and we were more than pleasantly surprised. Except for a few tee boxes the course was in excellent condition even considering the lack of rainfall for weeks. The green as before were fast but very true and the fairways although dry were still in great shape. All in all a excellent and a fun experience, we'll be back.

Poor condition
Tees are in poor shape, no grass on fairways. Greens are ok. Won’t be playing here again..
Great staff, especially Mat at checkin. Very helpful. Starters always friendly.
This course needs a ranger to help improve pace of play.

Reasonable prices and pleasant staff
While the personnel were very nice and pleasant, I couldn't really recommend this course to anyone, at least not at this time or in this condition. I want a grassy fairway and these fairways were rock hard with "grass" that looked and felt as if it had been steamrolled. The greens were generally in good condition though with the occasional weed to navigate around. The layout must be somewhat to my liking as for the 1st time in my life, I lost only a single ball. I did enjoy the jumbo hot dog in the clubhouse afterwards. Generally an enjoyable experience.
