River Hall Country Club

Course is not to hard to play and in great shape. People are friendly and price is fair for the quality of the course.

I have played here about ten times. I am never disappointed. I absolutely love everything about the club from staff to the course.. My favorite course in SW florida by far...

This facility never disappoints. The staff is very friendly. The clubhouse and locker rooms are on point. And course conditions very good. There are some holes with fairway sod work being done. But, overall the course is in really nice shape. Greens are quick and hold well struck shots. Not the most interesting layout, but very playable. Generous landing areas with strategically placed bunkers make for a fun round of golf.

Course was average but not very interesting. Out of the way to get to. No water to speak of and very wide open. For someone who likes to spray the ball around allot. This is it!

River Hall is touted as being this great course in the Ft. Myers area but in fact is another boring Davis Love design. Have played 3 other of his courses and they're pretty much all boring with little character. Just my opinion from someone that plays hundreds of different courses. People at River Hall are extremely friendly from the pro shop to the starter to the bartender. Great practice facilities. Driving range, chipping and putting areas. Greens were so so and some of the fairways were in need of a lot of grass which is typical of FL. courses. Course is probably ok for the typical snowbird but for the advanced golfer it's pretty disappointing.

The Starter was friendly and helpful.

We did not find the course interesting even though it was designed by a famous PGA golfer. We would have enjoyed the course much more if we didn't have to wait at EVERY hole.

Played River Hall for the first time on a Saturday. Went out in the afternoon and the pace of play was very good. Played behind a foursome of couples, but still played in two hours. After they quit after the first nine, our foursome played in 1:45. That's great this time of year in Florida. Much better conditions and people than playing Sanibal Island for less money.

A very nice place to play golf with a friendly staff. Generous fairways on most holes. Miss the fairway though, and you might find some water. Tight lies and fast greens. Member's tees make the course about 5600 yards, the next tees back will make it a fair course for the better player.

Good practice facility. Only negatives are pace of play and at the turn they inserted a foursome of members in front of us. We were told that members have right of way. This was a foursome of two men, two women starting on number ten. We had waited almost every hole on front nine. Barely able to finish before dark. No respect for fact we paid a substantial green fee.

Pace was a tad slow, took about 4:20. Wasn't so much that it took that long but the back nine seems to back up every time I play there. Despite that it's a great track. Only issue is getting in 18 this time of the year if you tee off after 1. Soon not to be an issue

Greens were in pretty good shape. Seems ball makes are not repaired by players and take away from others enjoyment. Fairways were excellent and rough was just tough enough. Overall I enjoyed the round shot well and the staff was friendly!

From the time you arrive until the time you leave the entire staff will take very good care of you. The course is always in top condition. This is a hidden gem. I thank all of the staff for making all of my outings great.

I was amazed at the organization of the staff. I had a 8:20 tee time and at 8 the starter rounded up my group. As first timers he told us about the course and told us to be ready in 10 minutes. On the 3rd hole a ranger came by to remind the group to stay on pace and we did. Nice course for beginners with wide fairways and not too much water. This was a very nice course and great value.

This course has so much potential but was very bland. If you like a very long course with wide open fairway you'll love this. If you prefer a more interesting course, water, trees, a mix of challenges , you'll be quickly bored.
The starter was very nasty with me. They were NOT busy yet tried to pair my husband and I up with 2 twenty something year old kids. We asked to go out alone and the starter was very rude and abrasive. I asked for our money back and suddenly they resolved the issue. Rude and snobby.
We won't return. We were bored.

Beautiful course with breath taking views - offers several challenging holes.

We chose the windiest day of the year to play River Hall. The course is open in design with wide fairways. We had trouble
just standing but had a fantastic day. Would recommend everyone visit it at least once. Will definitely go back again.

The course was in great condition and there´s good practice area and free range balls so you get alot for your money!

this is a great golf coarse. there is always lots of room to land your drive. before play, they have 3 par 3 practice holes you can play before your round.has real nice grass tees on the range.
ive played some coarses that cost twice as much and had bad rounds because it was too hard.you will play good here and have fun. best of all, the greens are awesome and are very well desighed. i dont 3 putt here, the ball goes where i aimed. play it, you will have fun and will be back. jimmy<")))))><

I played with a few buddies shortly after 1 o'clock on a Tuesday in December. The outside staff was very friendly and helped to show us around as it was our first time at the course. The woman in the Golf Shop seemed very unhappy and was not friendly at all. The facilities are outstanding as they have grass tees on the range, and great short game areas for practice. The Pace of Play was awful as we were immediately waiting on every shot starting on the first tee. The group we were waiting on eventually caught up to more groups which caused even more congestion. The group behind us was even hitting into us at times. When we asked a staff member about the pace of play, he said that it's always very slow as their marshal finishes his shift at 12 o'clock and they try to get as many players on the course as possible. All in all it was a decent course and for the price and I would play it again. I would just be sure to play early in the morning so the pace of play isn't awful.

People are great, the course is top shelf and the weather was a little windy. I hope you can fix the weather for me next time, cause I will be back.
