Indian River Preserve Golf Club

Second visit to this course. I enjoy the layout and staff was very friendly and helpful. We were told ahead of time that the greens weren’t in the best shape due to a fungus and they weren’t lying. Greens were in tough shape but playable. Was offered a second round at a reduced rate for the inconvenience. It was nice that the staff was transparent about the issue and attempted to compensate players for the inconvenience. Many of the Sand traps lacked rakes and there wasn’t as beverage cart service during our round which would have been welcomed. Carts were in good condition. Would play again but may wait. Month or two for greens to come back.

Most of the green were in bad shape- it isthat time of the year! Grounds crew have been working hard, and the greens will come along soon. Warmer weather is also helping

Front side was overall bad. Back side was better but still needs work.

Fairways bald and patchy with crabgrass. Greens were slow and lots had bald spots. Holes cut from before were shallow and crooked. 2 water coolers were empty. I have seen this course looking much much better in the past..

The course is in pretty bad condition, possibly from a previouse hurricane or storm destruction...most likely neglected. There was some work being done.

The restaurant and staff, on the other hand, were amazing !

Nice clubhouse. Staff was friendly. The tees were green and level. Fairways were poor and the greens marginal. The traps were nice.

Fritz and the Pro shop staff are always very congenial.

I invited a couple of buddies from up north to play . I've played here the last couple of years and liked the course . IT"S IN HORRIBLE CONDITION !! Fairways and tees burnt or no grass . Pitted greens . I'll not be back and it's unfortunate because I have another friend who just recently built a home there .

Greens are horrible. They were fast because of lack of grass, and bumpy at the same time. Not sure what the plan is, maybe they are shutting down for reno when the snowbirds head back like Great Outdoors? It’s going to be a while. Friendly staff. Carts are pretty bad, run like old jaloppies. Will follow your reviews to see when the next time to play is.

The good ? The staff and the tee boxes. I also received free round pass for my son and I (the greens had disease and were almost all dead)

The BAD!! Slow play, took over 5 hours. I received free pass but only when I stopped in the pro shop to buy a snack at the turn, otherwise I probably wouldn't have received it. Fairways were pretty much non existent.

I'll play again just to use my free pass that expire May 1, hopefully their will be some recovery, I liked the layout

Something must have happened, the entire course was brown when we played last month. The greens were mud with little or no grass. Clubhouse is always nice with great food.

Nice sunny day at Walkabout but the wind came up and made things tough. The first three holes are unremarkable but the course gets better once you turn the corner and head into the protected areas. Back nine is more interesting and requires some tough shots. Played this course last year after the drought and it was not very enjoyable. All the rain has helped. Greens are fast and the water creates quite a challenge. Worth the money and a good test of golf.
