Fairways Country Club

Unfortunately the residents of the community are not appreciative of the outside revenue. Many young gentlemen were out to play and I was with my family. The comments about us not getting there early enough by a couple women who confronted my wife while unloading our vehicle. Yes, we were not even out of the vehicle. There was a tournament for the community and I had a booked tee time on golf now. .We did not know or care that there was a tournament after us and we teed off on time . The looks, the comments and the general vibe was completely uncalled for. The course is worn out but the carts were newer. There was a jumbo hot dog at the turn for $2.75 and that was great. The pro shop cashier was a nice man but the locals not so much. We have been coming annually while on vacation because not a terribly difficult course but we won't be returning. Wedgefield is the place to go

Most of the greens and fairways were in good shape. Friendly staff.

Some negatives:

Don't let a sixsome play, even if it was "best ball"

You should have some way to get pass the gate that goes into the course, other than calling the pro shop, who may or may not answer,

THE COURSE WAS OVER BOOKED. THE PACE OF PLAY WAS EXTREMELY SLOW.

WE HAD TO WAIT TEEING OFF ON EVERY

HOLE BECAUSE. WE AVERAGED 20

MINUTES PER HOLE AND ON ONE HOLE

THE GROUP IN FRONT OF US FINISHED AND WHEN WE GOT TO THE GREEN,

THEY WERE WAITING FOR ANOTHER GROUP TO TEE OFF..

WE WILL NOT PLAY HERE AGAIN.

Great quality course for a very affordable rate. Staff were all very accommodating and friendly.

We had a great time playing this course which is tucked nicely away in this community.

Short, tight layout with lots of water and smaller greens. Not the course to play if you’re looking for a premium golf experience, but if you’re looking for a fun casual round with some friends, it’s a perfect course for that.

Pros:

•Fun layout, driveable par 4s

•Affordable

•Relaxed

Cons:

•Rough tee boxes on some par 3s

•Not necessarily the best greens, playable but not perfect

The positive was friendly people on course and in the run down clubhouse. The course itself I have to say was one of the worst I’ve ever played in any state. Greens, fairways, and tee boxes were terrible. The course winds through a prefab housing area with no views and not a good layout. If you want a cheap round on a patchy grass course, this is for you. I doubt they have irrigation or don’t turn it on. I hate to be so negative, but I will not play it ever again!

The staff was friendly and play moved along well. The fees were very reasonable but course conditions and layout (too close to homes along the fairways) dictated we'll probably not play there again.

Fairways is a great place to get 18 holes in. The greens were great and fast. The rough wasn’t unbearable and staff was fantastic

Fun course to play if you want to get out and just have a relaxing round with the boys. Nothing beats the sound of a golf ball hitting the aluminum of a trailer home. Great fun.

Best dealt for the money, course in good condition one green on the back, and a few tee boxes were a bit more than rough. Played in less than 4 hours, proshop associates was very friendly and helpful.

Best deal in the Orlando area. Price for 18 was great on the deal time offer. Course was in good condition considering there hasn’t been much rain in the last two months. Great course for all skill levels multiple tee boxes to cover distance for all. Very enjoyable round.

The staff is so welcoming and friendly - and the course is a great value for the money. We’ve played here every time we are in the Orlando area and we love it. We highly recommend Fairways!
