Twin Rivers Golf Club

About
At Twin Rivers Golf Club experience a course that combines the natural beauty of Florida with a consistent test of shot-making abilities. Nestled between two rivers this golf club offers eighteen unique and challenging holes surrounded by environmentally protected areas.
The fairways are well defined, and the greens, surrounded by mounds and pairs or trios of large bloomy bunkers, provide ample targets. Most holes encourage the player to favor one side of the fairway or green over the other, steering away from large and obvious hazards such as lakes, trees, or the large, flat bunkers.
All of this adds up to a very nice and playable course that tips out at only 6,636 yards and thus, due particularly to the price, is a first page recommendation for those seeking public golf in Orlando.

Twin rivers
Only one hole did they have construction on but other than that the course was pretty good
Great Course Overall
Rangers kept great pace, several drink carts, lot of beautiful hole layouts
COURSE VERY WET NEEDED TO WALK BACK NINE MAYBE CLOSE IT
Assistant pro
Had just got done playing the course that I teed off at 3:50 PM (4 hourish afternoon round), my twosome was stuck behind the assistant pro named George I believe and his five other friends. Had asked politely on the first hole of our play (we teed off on the back nine), but resulted in buddy yelling what our tee time is and what are we doing on the back nine, maybe ask your pro shop, didn’t let us play through and proceeded to take 25 -30 minutes a hole. Just all around, unprofessional from a person that claims to be an assistant pro at a golf course, I’m not too sure how they foster those types of relationships, but I would not recommend playing here. Buddy single-handedly made me not want to ever spend my money at Twin Rivers. Go play Rio Pinar, Casselberry, Ventura, anywhere else. Usually brush these kind of things off on the course as some people are trying to enjoy their time and can’t help the pace of play, but from an employee?? Crazy work.
Excellent Layout, Exceptional Staff
My golfing buddy and I played this course on August 18th and it's always an enjoyable experience. Due to the Florida heat and humidity, we only played the front 9 since we're both in our 70s now and the summer sun beating down is the toughest thing with which to cope in summertime. The course rebuilt the greens last year and it appears the greens were aerated maybe 3 weeks ago but this was not an issue. Several holes were cart path only but this is common with the almost daily torrential rains here. It's always a pleasant experience to play here and a challenging layout.
The one thing I wish to express is my thanks to the clubhouse and maintenance staff as Ol' Dummy here left my rangefinder in the cart, something I did not realize until I got home. I called and reported this to a gentleman in the pro shop and I gave him my name and number. He said he would pursue this and call me back. I'd sort of given up hope for getting it returned but he called the next day, said they had located it and I could come and pick it up. So, let me express my eternal thanks to this gent and to the staff for making this happen. Such integrity in these times is uncommon and, for this reason, let me recommend this course to anyone reading this review.
Aerification and sanded
I'm not sure what qualifies as needing an Aerification Alert on GolfNow, but would have been nice to know. The greens aren't "punched," but still pretty bumpy from being aerified and then super, super sandy. I know it's part of course maintenance, but no alert and still charging full price... I would've been annoyed if I paid full price and shown up to that. Felt obligated to post a heads up review for others.
Otherwise the course is still one of my favorites in the area. Lots of rain lately, so the back 9 is pretty soggy, but nothing that was unplayable other than a couple bunkers.
Unplayable wet mess
Been wanting to play here a while since I’m somewhat local and have heard good things. Will probably be my last time. It’s been raining a lot which I get will make the course wet, but it is currently unplayable.
First, cart path only which is fine but it seemed like there was 0 drainage. Greens were aerated which is fine, but it was over sanded. Everyone was nice but charging full price (which is already higher than other better courses in the area) is criminal.
Great course that will challenge
I play Twin Rivers more than any other course in the area for a reason. It is in very good shape, especially the greens, and it is a real challenge. If you don't control your ball all day, you will pay for it! The other thing I like is the variety of holes. All are unique so you will hit every club in your bag.
tough challenge
It's a tough course normally and even harder when it's wet. Playing with cart path only also makes for a long tough day in the heat.
Great Golf course.
Surprisingly longer than thought, fantastic layout and quick pace. Perfect conditions and great value. Will play again when deals pop up and highly recommend.
Nice shape but poor course management..
This course is in good shape but unfortunately no one monitors the pace of play. This results in 5 hour rounds on the weekend.
The "honor system" for pace of play just doesn't work. There has to be some monitoring of pace of play.
Also, setting tough pins on slopes for Saturday/Sunday is a recipe for disaster.
Its a nice course and if you play on a weekday you will like it. 140 slope so mid to high handicappers should play white tees.
Except slow very slow play
Course would be fun to play if the pace of play was not so very slow. Not sure what the rangers do? What they do lot do is police slow play. They actively endorse groups of five which promotes slow play.
Slow
The first cut of the course is terrible. You have to have a sharp eye to see where you ball landed or ended up is you rolled off the fairway. The greens were much better than in the past. The cost for the round was very reasonable….maybe because of the first cut. There were a couple or foursomes in front of us which were very, very slow. I know not everyone picks up when within a foot or so from the flag, but when missing, and even closer, you can pick up rather than double or triple boogie. And, this was with each player. I’m not trying to be a golf snob, but it’s a public course and play should move along. If there is a tournament, other guests should have the option of going off the back nine of get in front of them. The course is challenging, in itself, without being slowed downed to keep a good pace of play.
