VERY POOR PRO SHOP STAFF
Club House and Pro Shop doors clearly marked with "face masks Required" signage.
I entered Pro Shop wearing my mask.
Customer before me and staff not wearing masks.
Staff said I had to ride in duo cart. I asked if cart partner was Covid-19 positive or negative.
Staff suggested I may want to play somewhere else.
I told him I would have my own cart...So he charged me more money.
My playing partners had there own carts...no extra money.
Met many other groups in solo carts...no extra money.
Does the City of Oviedo really want this liability in view of the new Covid-19 variants transmitting through the State?
POOR PRO SHOP STAFF
I had a great time in spite of the ridiculous check in.
The doors to the club house and pro shop are clearly marked with "Face Mask Required".
I entered wearing my mask.
The customer in front of me did not wear a mask.
Pro Shop Staff did not wear a mask.
When I told the maskless staff he did not have a mask, he said he had asthma.
He then told me I was teamed up with 3 other golfers and we were assigned to 2 carts. I asked if my cart partner was Covid-19 positive or negative. He said he had no way of knowing.
He said maybe I should go somewhere else.
I told him I would have a solo cart. So he said he was going to charge me $10 for that privilege. I said, You charge me whatever you want.
The 2 guys I played with had their own carts and I passed foursomes that each had their own carts.
Does the City of Oviedo wish to take on the liability created by this staff member?
Great course for the price
Twin Rivers is a very challenging course. The forward tees are just over 5300 yards, requiring longer shots into greens which all too often land in bunkers guarding several greens from beyond the typical greenside bunker distance. Two of the four par threes are on the long side & the other two are challenging due to their design. Twin Rivers is a shotmaker's course with several narrow fairways and a ton of trouble - water, bunkers, & wooded hazards. Fairway grass is on the lean side but the course is otherwise in great shape. Hopefully today was unique, but my threesome waited on every hole & it took just over 2 1/2 hours to play the front 9! A ranger would have been welcomed. Twin Rivers is a good value & a good test of your golf game. We'll be going back even though it's an hour's drive from our winter home.
Very nice course
This is a nice course. Winter conditions are evident. I liked the hold designs, Greens were good.
Good Conditions
Greens, fairway, and tee boxes are in good condition. Some sidewalk repairs are happening on 17. & 18 holes but that didn’t have any impact on my play. I’m glad to see the course make this kind of investment.
FIRST TIME BACK IN S COUPLE OF YEARS
The improvements to Twin Rivers since the City of Oviedo took over are great.
The fairways are like carpets and the bunkers havet been improved with the generous addition of new sand.
The greens are better but I would prefer them faster.
Great Job Oviedo & Twin Rivers.
Busy
We had a good time but it was full of 4somes. We were only 2 players but we got sand which between several 4somes. On longer holes we would be at tee box waiting for folks in fairway to play that were waiting for folks on greens to finish the hole so they could continue to play and all the while I could see a group behind finish up on the previous hole. I understand packing the course is needed but at times it just leads to too much frustration. The Course condition was acceptable for our skill level.
Ober book
Ober book. have a teatime at 2 o’clock we have to wait for the car for a half an hour it was so many people couldn’t even finish the 18-hole it got so dark we have to quit.
Foursome jumped on the 10th hole and slowed up play for everyone. I don't know if the starter put them on 10, or if they jumped on themselves. Regardless, this slowed up play for everyone behind them, and made for a very frustrating back nine.
Charged more at the course
course was ingood shape. I booked the tee time on TeeOff and was told to pay $42.75 at the course and was charged $48.10, because it was holiday rates.
