Stoneybrook East Golf Course
About
Located in Central Florida, Stoneybrook East Golf Course is a championship course that has all the signatures of classic Florida golf courses. Although traditional in design there are some modern elements that lend to the overall challenge of the course. The large fairways are naturally tree-lined and the generous greens are multi-tiered and undulating. The green are also immaculately kept. Preserved wetlands and waterways create hazards that come into play on a few holes. There is also abundant wildlife on the course. Stoneybrook East Golf Course features three sets of tees.

Sad there was no one there early…we finished in 3 hrs and there was only maybe 15 cars in the parking lot…
2nd Orlando course
Played Remington 2 days before and had no respect for Orlando courses based on that one .
What a difference at Stoneybrook .
Remington , staff who had no customer service basics , greens covered in sand , general conditions not great and the empty parking lot spoke to me .
Stoneybrook , much livelier staff , livelier pro shop , greens much less sandy and I even saw my only 2 alligators on my trip to Florida .
Excellent value for money .Just don't walk , there's some very long paths between holes .
Don’t judge until you’ve been there
I can’t speak for a few years back, but I played today and the course was in good condition. The greens accepted good shots and the green were true. Not slow not fast.
The staff was friendly, the pro shop is loaded and the grill very good. A range and practice green rounds it out. This isn’t Oakmont, but it’s a challenge from the blue tees, fun to play and not expensive.
Try it.
Pretty decent course but......
Staff is friendly. Nice pro shop and bar/restaurant. Grab and go dogs and burgers at the turn. Most tee boxes are good. Fairways average with some weeds throughout. Greens are good, run faster than they feel. They were top dressing them as we played holes 8 and 9. Sand then sprinklers but didn't slow down play. Rates are pretty good. Only issue I had was the $25 ride-a-long fee. I understand insurance/liability but the tee sheet was pretty empty. Maybe $10 or $15 tops would seem more feasible.
Priced right for conditions
Came back to Stoney Brook East after a little hiatus and things are definitely looking good and improving. Greens rolled pretty well, good speed and we’re in good shape. Will definitely go there again soon as long as conditions stay similar or get better and rate stay similar as well, mid 60s and worth it all day long for the condition right now. Would definitely recommend.
This course is a hidden gem. We discovered it last year and love playing here. The course conditions are great . If you get a chance play it ,you'll love it.
Good Course
Course was in good shape, well maintained. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Good conditions
The greens and fairways were in good shape. My only complaint was that the bunkers were either mud or flooded.
Hidden Gem
I last played this course 2 years ago and it was in poor condition . They had been hit with a failure of their irrigation system and the course was in very poor condition . I was only I informed upon arrival and was charged full rate at the time . This left a poor impression.
Back today after reading recent positive reviews and have to say, welcome back . Warm greeting on arrival , with plenty clean carts available. The layout of this course has always been challenging but special, with water on every hole in some form . However the condition is now very near excellent . Great greens and fairways with minor improvements needed only on the Ts to give a 10/10 experience.
This course is a hidden gem , a credit to the team there who have worked hard and made a remarkable recovery .
In my opinion this represents the best value for quality golf in the Orlando area .
Make time to visit if you can , you won’t be disappointed.
Well done to the SEGC team for bringing this gem of a course back to life .
