All tees had very little grass, many areas around the greens

Needed work. The sand traps looked like they were not raked in days. The greens needed cutting, they were extremely slow. Fairways were good. It appears that money is an issue based on conditions, no starter, and no Marshalls.

I think this course has one of the best design / layouts anywhere. A few patchy spots in the fairways but no big deal, just move your ball a couple feet. Greens run medium speed and are very fun to putt. The tee boxes are in below average condition. The guy in the pro shop told me they over seeded them with rye in the fall but due to the lack of rain in recent months they haven't taken root and filled in. Very fair but challenging course.

It's a shame when locals try to prop up their local course without any clue about the real world. Sorry about your home values. The course is a cow pasture with ponds converted to a golf course.

The good news is the greens and clubhouse are nice.

Also, the locals / members are clueless. Just because I don't play golf as well as you, doesn't give you the right to disregard common courtesy. If I'm 15 feet away from the hole and you're 5 feet away, I putt first.

Greens are in fairly good shape, tee boxes are being refurbished so teeing off on dirt every hole. Fairways are ok with some bare spots.

Biggest complaint is they seem to allow anyone on the course as walk ups. checked the tee times before booking and there were 4 in front of and behind the one I chose that morning. We had to tee off late because there was a line of groups waiting to go but the tee times still showed open on the app. Made for a very long day with eight groups all playing and waiting on most holes.

I have played this course since it first opened. The layout is challenging and you can pick your poison regarding it's difficulty. But the greens are spotty, bunkers are dirt and the tee boxes are in need of a resod. I understand that it is a challenge to keep a public course profitable. But currently Indian River was barely worth the green fees that I paid. The staff was nice.

I really enjoyed the natural layout. The tee boxes had no grass, but I hope it’s coming back. The fairways and greens were much nicer than people posted a few weeks ago.

Played here 6 years ago and felt the same way. Thought I heard the conditions had improved but that was not the case. Almost every tee box was dirt. Driving range looks like a cow pasture. Clubhouse is beautiful - too bad the course does not match. The layout has potential. The $35 greens fees (afternoon play) should be more like $20. Our cart died on the FIRST hole. Will not return.

Fairways lacking a little grass. Greens on front 9 look recently done. A little rough and slow.

Front 9 pretty straight forward for first timers as all playing surfaces very visible from tee box.

Back 9 totally different.

There is no map layout on scorecards or at tee box so some holes had us totally in dark where to play. One par 3 was almost a blind shot. Could see flag from tee but not the sand trap or water in front.

No ball washers on carts or at tee.

We would go again.

Much like playing by ourselves, two of us, no hold ups, course in reasonable shape. They were spiking fairways with the greens to be aerated the following day. Enjoyed the day in every respect.

Upset with the lack of grass on fairways and around greens. Too many bare lies. Also, got out early as a single and they failed to mention that they would plop 5 foursomes in a scramble in front of me on the 13th hole. If told, I would have slowed my play down accordingly. Just need to communicate better. Like the course but conditions need to improve before I’ll go back

Course was in rough condition. Weeds and unrepaired divots everywhere. 1 hour wait to tee off due to large group starting ahead. Just don't believe the photos posted. Rangers needs to be employed to move slow groups along, fill divots and pickup trash.

3+ groups backed up on multiple holes on a Friday morning. Made for a poor day. Was told they had a tournament in the morning so it wasn't weather. Just poor planning. Clubhouse is nice, course is in ok shape. Won't be going back.
