Duran Golf Club - Championship Course
About
Duran Golf Club is a local favorite, known for being the best public course in Brevard County. The club is also home to the area's only lighted nine-hole, par-3 course. The course stretches across fertile terrain that was formerly a sod farm, lending some of the lushest playing surfaces on Florida's east coast. The championship layout has a links feel with subtle mounding that frames large, undulating greens. The beautiful landscape comes into play throughout the golf course. Sparkling lakes and ponds, lush grasses, and stately palms all add to the beauty and challenge of the round. Coastal breezes come into play on several holes thanks to the seaside location. Duran Golf Club's practice facility is almost as popular as the 18-hole course. In addition to the par-3 course, there is also a large driving range with mounded areas where you can practice with uphill and downhill lies.

Course was well maintained and in excellent condition. Tee boxes for every level of skill. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely will be playing there again.
Course is preparing for renovations this summer
My buddy wanted to play nine holes today. We paid $0 each. He hadn't played the course in a while. From the road, you can see the greens are all brown in anticipation of major renovations this summer. When he called the course, they said the greens are still in great condition. They are just brown. While all that is true. The greens are close to unplayable. There is no grass. It is like putting on ice. Since they are preparing for major renovations, the tee boxes are all chewed up and chipping areas are mostly hardpan. Fairways are fine but that is it. In my view, they lose a lot of goodwill not being up front about the real course conditions. This is historically a premiere course. What they should do for the next 6 weeks is just charge $30 for 18 holes. Trying to get max dollars at this point is counterproductive and will tick off a lot of unsuspecting golfers.
DR
Course is in great condition except greens which are totally dry and super fast. Pace of play can be improved after the turn it slowed down drastically and we have been waiting for every shot!!
Even with dead greens they rolled very pure. Every other part of the course was in decent shape. Only complaint was the 5+ hour round. Didnt see a ranger once to keep the pace of play. However, would play again
Always wonderful
Despite playing on a blustery day with very challenging pin placements, had a blast as always. As I understand it we played just before the closure for green replacement.. the course still looked great.!
Rain out and can get in touch with anyone at golf now to reschedule
Golf now needs to inform there customers how to reschedule so I don’t have to go through my credit card to get my money back
Good conditions given time off year.
Enjoyed the round with the family. We were held up in front of us for a bit, but we didn’t fuss. We stopped for a bathroom stop and drinks at the 9 and we were suddenly attacked. In 2 holes all was ok, but the aggression was not appreciated. We were held up all front 9 and no one addressed anything then.
Dead greens
The greens are dead and soon to be replaced. The staff in the pro shop did not disclose this when we were paying. Enjoyed the layout and the course. We plan to go back again after the greens are replaced.

Green replacement
They are getting ready to replace the greens. They have applied a product that browns and eventually kills the green. The greens were BROWN. They rolled fairly well…like putting on cement. Got behind a group that had two holes open ahead of them. I should know better. Spring golf in Florida is a 4:45-5 hour round of golf. Maybe this is the norm at some places, but not fun golf for me. Last time donating to this course.
Top 3 in county
Really enjoyed the round other than the wind. pace of play was my only complaint followed a foursome two walkers two riders that had a hole open in front of them all day still finish and under 4 1/2 hours, but waited on every single tee.
Duran Golf Club
The course was in very good condition. The greens were firm, and pin location were challenging with just enough hazards to make you think about ball placement.
A perfect $70 course
Overall it’s a great track. Nice area, Mark the starter is a solid dude and the staff are friendly. Like any course this time of year, pace of play could be better. At $70 I have no issue playing here; worth the drive. However not at $93. Will be playing here much more once the snowbirds go away and take their hiked up rates with them.
Great Course and Great Staff
Best golf course in Brevard county. Always in great condition and a fun layout to play. Staff is the best as well and very accommodating.
Le meilleur et le plus beau de la région
Magnifique terrain demande beaucoup de finesse pour jouer surtout sur les verts
