About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in Jun 2018.
Located in Lehigh Acres, Mirror Lakes Golf Club originally opened in 1958 as part of Admiral Lehigh Resort. It's one of the area's oldest courses. The club was re-founded in 1970 and got a new name and look. From the back tees, the golf course stretches to just over 7,200 yards for a par of 73. It's more difficult than the original design but it's also more fun. The course is long and mostly wide-open. Overall, it's player friendly enough for players of any skill level. Despite what its name would imply, sand comes into play more than water. The 11th is Mirror Lakes Golf Club's signature hole. This unique par 6 features a heavy smattering of out-of-bounds and bunkers along both sides of the fairway as well as a heavily guarded green. From the back tees, the hole will challenge even the best golfers.

Good value
The price was excellent. The course was not in good condition. We have played in the pass and it was better. We made give it another try later in the season.
Somewhat Biased
As a local I play this track on a regular basis. It has the challenge of length and requires some shot-making abilities. Tee shot placement is an asset and don't be afraid to add a club as most greens are elevated enough to cause "playing it by the numbers" shots to fall a little short. Hazards, OB's, and other assorted perils are visible from most tee boxes and don't require local knowledge to avoid them. Know your numbers and you will be rewarded. The overall condition may require having versatility in your skill set and the enjoyment of a challenge but the reward will be the knowledge that a low number was earned and not a gift. Oh yeah, if you're inspired to play the tips, say hi to the to the folks who live in the house to the left on 11.
good layout
play was very slow due a five some. thankfully they only played 9 holes.
worth the price
Needs work in bunkers. No sand. Just weeds. Spray weeds in cart paths and add sand to the traps and would be a better course.
Needs some help
Gone down from last year. Traps not maintained.
Great place to practice your game on course if not busy. Nice routing and some tough holes if windy. Staff are great course not so.
This course has great features
The staff is excellent, warm and friendly. The course is in good shape and very challenging on windy days.
Very pleasant playing conditions and has a home feel.
Just retired and moved from Texas and the staff is the best I have seen in many years. Good people good golf course.
Nice course
First time here and we come back! We liked it very much! Not so many people and everything ok!
Not worth the savings
I played with a friend for a 7:37am tee time. Showed up early and none of the employees working seem happy to be up that early. No smiles very direct answers like they are being bothered. Went to the chipping and putting areas and neither one look maintained. No starter to know when its your turn to tee off, so we just pulled up and starting playing around our reserved tee time. The scorecard has no map of the holes so you have to figure it out on your own as you play. A resident was walking his doberman pincher accross the course in the middle of our round without a leash. Never seen a large dog roaming freely on a golf course before. The grass near the bunkers is not maintained at all, I lost a ball somehow in this thick stuff when it should have been a chip shot. The bunkers are not sand but more of a thick mud. A group of amatuers were ahead of me and kept pulling their cart onto the green to finish the hole and there are no park rangers to enforce course etiquette. I cant believe I paid to play this course. Save your time and money or pay a little bit more for much better service.
Nice course
I'm a beginner, but would definitely play this course again. Even saw a few gators
ROUGH VERY ROUGH
GREENS WERE HORRIBLE, FAIRWAYS WERE CRABGRASS, THIS COURSE NEEDS ALLOT OF WORK
WOULD NOT GO BACK, VISITING FROM OUT OF STATE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COURSE.
could be very good
This course has a lot of nice features, but the bad outweighs the good. Carts need updating; ours had no rain shield, it did rain, and the thing barely ran. My biggest problem with this course is that the sprinklers are located in the driving areas. So, a drive that may have rolled out to 250 yds on a dry course, plugs at 220 yds, and you have 180 yd approach to the green. That's a big deal to us short hitters. Also, the sand traps.... uh.... don't have sand.
Don't interrupt staff meeting.
They were customer friendly until they had to attend a staff meeting. Couldn't order food or get refill as seemed to interrupt staff meeting. We were starving, but they would only allow us to get a sandwich since they were starting a staff meeting. First topic for next staff meeting.... Customers come first. Course was in great shape and nice to play!
value priced
very friendly staff, perfect value,
we comming back, Greens not fast,
Pleasantly surprised
My first time playing the course did not disappoint.
The course away quite empty to start with and so the first nine holes were completed quickly and despite being behind a foursome for the second half, the round was completed in under 3 hours. The fairways and greens were very well tended with plenty of grass - this reduced distances and slowed the putts a little - but I soon got used to that. Nothing exceptionally tricky on the course and it was great not to lose a ball!
Will definitely return to Mirror Lakes again soon
Well Course with friendly staff
The course was in better condition than expected. What really had us coming back with the staff in the clubhouse. Friendly, courteous, all of those great qualities that you wish for in a staff. The food was excellent. The course is not overly challenging but had its own quirks. Especially on the greens.
10 minutes to RSW
fine staff - ordinary tract in good shape - value priced - fits the bill for easy unhurried FL exit -
HELLO IN THERE
Some effort was made to improve this great layout this year but the keyword remains "some". For the first time in many years, there was a little grass growing in the fairways. Most previous years, it had been mowed down to "scalp level". The first green is the only green with only one type of grass on it...it would be nice if they corrected this. Sand Traps..."Hello in There", you have about 30 greenside bunkers with zero sand...a good example is hole 18...try hitting a soft one out of that left front bunker. Meanwhile, this course has a fairway bunker on the right side of 13 (where nobody ever goes) that has enough soft sand in it to fill all of the greenside bunkers. Might be a good idea to grab that sand and distribute it where it could be appreciated. Lots of little areas of neglect but it is improved since last year and I hope will be better next.
I like the big greens.
I liked this course. To bad we had to play in the rain.
My only complaint was the greens were really slow.
But we enjoyed the round and I look forward to going back when it is sunny. The course was fair but you can get into trouble if you don't stay near the fairway.
Aménagements et terrain en mauvaise condition
Terrain non recommandable. Mauvais entretien. Herbe dans les fosses de sable.
The course has some challenges
This was my first time playing Mirror Lakes.
It has some challenging bunkers and long distance.
It was a windy day when I played and that just
added to the fun and the challenges of the course.
