About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in Jun 2018.
Located in Lehigh Acres, Mirror Lakes Golf Club originally opened in 1958 as part of Admiral Lehigh Resort. It's one of the area's oldest courses. The club was re-founded in 1970 and got a new name and look. From the back tees, the golf course stretches to just over 7,200 yards for a par of 73. It's more difficult than the original design but it's also more fun. The course is long and mostly wide-open. Overall, it's player friendly enough for players of any skill level. Despite what its name would imply, sand comes into play more than water. The 11th is Mirror Lakes Golf Club's signature hole. This unique par 6 features a heavy smattering of out-of-bounds and bunkers along both sides of the fairway as well as a heavily guarded green. From the back tees, the hole will challenge even the best golfers.

Nifty Course!
Many of the SW Florida courses I have played are like bowling alleys pocked with sand traps and water, lined with condos on either side. Not Mirror Lakes. This is a REAL golf course, clearly designed as such, with undulations in fairways and greens alike, a challenging --but not TOO challenging--layout, and an accommodating and friendly staff. This was my first time playing here, and I look forward to next year's opportunity to go at it again!
Needs updating
Course is old and tired. Not user friendly. Several tee boxes, most of which are never used because of the yardage. Tee boxes very narrow and rounded....no flat area to hit from. Card says to use the 90 degree rule when in fact many areas have no cart path.
Overpriced.
Could be good.
We wouldn't come back. We decided to try something different from our regular course which I would rate about 3.5 stars. We weren't expecting much and what we saw was a course that has some potential if someone put a little tlc into it. Greens were very furry (likely because it looks like they cram a lot of players through the day, as we saw several 5 somes). A little weeding would go a long way as we helped pull some weeds out of side of several bunkers during our many "waits" between holes. There could be budget constraints, which would explain most things. We will leave to others to decide for themselves but we will try another course.
Good value
By no means a PGA tour ready course but a good value for the money. Greens were much nicer on the back nine and course was challenging. Had to give id to get a cooler of beer and since we stayed out until dark and the pro shop was closed when we came back it caused lots of problems getting back into the club house and getting our is back. Overall average to good but I would play it again.
Needs Work
The greens and fairways were average but the rough was very bad. The need to seed the entire course. Overall the course is shaggy and not kept well. The layout is nice but you get the impression a serious amount of work is needed to bring the course to enjoyable standards. I booked the only twosome for a morning tee-time, yet when we got there it was empty! The ranger told us that people book times but never show! Makes me think others were booking times but going elsewhere if possible.
Mirror lakes
Overall condition of the course I would rate as average at best. The fairways and the greens are very good, but the sand traps are terrible. Some have no sand in them at all just hard clay. Pace of play is an issue!!
Tha couse is interessting to play
We shurely will return to this place. Each hole is interesting to play.
Great local course
The super friendly staff here make up for the facility's shortcomings. The fairways and greens are in good shape, but the traps have no sand in them. Not a good place to play if you're in a hurry, better for a relaxing round in conjunction with beer! The gals in the clubhouse make a wonderful club sandwich.
SW Florida Public course
A typical $25.00 public course that charges $55 in February and March, it is Southwest Florida so that is what to expect. Overall a fair place to play
The course seemed neglected
The course seemed neglected. The fairways and rough were in poor condition, on the whole. the bunkers were mud and not sand. It seems as though the place was overbooked and the pace of play was very slow. The course slopes and ratings on the card were not the same as those online, making it hard to post correct scores on GHIN. The ladies tees were moved forward, in some cases to a ridiculous extent. I doubt we will play there again.
Good course, had lot of fun.
Will go back . Have played there many times. Good challenge. Have referred many to play over the last 17 years.
Good greens
The greens were for the most part in good shape. The fairways were not the best an the rough was sparse. The club house was old. Staff not over friendly unless you were a local. A lot of money for this course considering what you get.
Try to stuff too many on course to have a steady round of play
Course was ok but had to wait at least 10 minutes on every hole Marshall came but did not help
Mirror lakes
A long course but plenty of Tee's ti choose from. I have played this course over the last couple of years and it has been an improvement each year.
Good conditions except Florida little sand in traps
The course plays long, but fair. There was very little sand in the traps, chipping out is an option if the lip is low enough.
Mirror lakes
Course plays longer than yardages indicate. layout of course holes can be confusing - so best to play with someone who's played here before. 2 or 3 shots can put you in water that you don't see from tee or fareway. Overall course is playable for most people, but play can be slow - seems that a lot of VERY retired people play here.
Friendly staff but the course needs help. The bunkers are like cement.
The first few holes and greens need a little help. All the bunkers need to be tended to. There is hardly any sand and they are like cement. The drinking water in the dispenser has a strange taste. This was our second time this year so we brought our own bottles of water.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The greens are very slow and some have weeds on them.
Could not get anything to eat after golf
AFTER GOLF WE WERE HUNGRY BUT THE BAR AND GRILL CLOSED AT 6:00
There were other couples looking for the same thing
This course has great features
everything was fine unless the waiting time on each hole, as there was already a delay at the start of 25 minutes (high season, overbooked?)
Customer service needs Improvement
Starter was very friendly and informative, however the woman at the front desk was rude and unfriendly.. answered calls while 8 people were waiting to pay. Etiquette should be to answer the phone, ask the customer to hold and service those customers standing in front of you. Very slow.. more than 5 hours.
Sand bunkers were mostly clay.
