About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in Jun 2018.
Located in Lehigh Acres, Mirror Lakes Golf Club originally opened in 1958 as part of Admiral Lehigh Resort. It's one of the area's oldest courses. The club was re-founded in 1970 and got a new name and look. From the back tees, the golf course stretches to just over 7,200 yards for a par of 73. It's more difficult than the original design but it's also more fun. The course is long and mostly wide-open. Overall, it's player friendly enough for players of any skill level. Despite what its name would imply, sand comes into play more than water. The 11th is Mirror Lakes Golf Club's signature hole. This unique par 6 features a heavy smattering of out-of-bounds and bunkers along both sides of the fairway as well as a heavily guarded green. From the back tees, the hole will challenge even the best golfers.

Don't forget to say hello to "wild Bill" the starter!! Photo submitted by Robyn6520962 on 10/14/2012
pretty good track for the average golfer!
course in decent shape, good value for the money this time of year.
OK
Traps are hard dirt and full of stones
First 8 holes need weed killer and fertilizer
Last 10 holes were good
Needs some TLC and would be very nice
Family Feel
This course feels like the local muni. Everyone was friendly and happy to help. It's, for the most part wide open visually and you can see adjacent holes. (except for 10 thru 13 that are lush and no other holes can be seen.) However, they're far enough apart that there was no incoming shot from other holes. There are a number of fun risk/reward holes that water/sand come into play. The course conditions were excellent and you see they're really working to continue upgrading, (played here 2 years ago and it's much improved). All in all a fun experience and a great value.

We were delayed for 40 minutes. Reason given was that the course was overbooked. Ice water had strong state of chlorine. We finished the front nine in 3 hours. At the turn, the starter told us to play the front nine again if we want to finish the round before dark. We finished at 6.15 pm. We tried to use the bathroom. It was lacked for the night. The weather was perfect, the experience was awful.
Old style course
Old style course , needs some updating , pushup greens overseeded and still very wet at @2:00PM. Bunkers devoid of sand . Back nine has a few great holes but generally a course that needs to be refreshed .
Mirror Lakes
Nice layout. Conditioning at best was average. Staff was friendly and reduced the greens fee at time of play.
Greens a bit bumpy but...
But an excellent value for the money...... The counter gal and the restaurant people, starter, ans bag boy were all extremely nice..... Very superior.
Budget type course.
Had a good time. Got paired up with someone who had played there before. This was our first round of the year, so getting our game in shape was the most important. From that perspective the course was good. Greens slow and forgiving. Fairways playable but a couple were a tad rough. Played in 4.25 hours.
Very nice course, especially for the money
My husband and I really enjoyed the course. We were greeted in the parking lot with someone to load our clubs onto a cart. The employees couldn't have been nicer. The course was well maintained and the greens were consistent. The course is very lady friendly, with 6 sets of tees.
first out
Lots of sand and water, off the beaten path, no fancy clubhouse, but course in good shape and enjoyable to play. Flat , some undulation in the greens. A good find.
Pace Was Bad
Unfortunately, some people think they are better than they are. 6 tees were available and the group in front of us played the wrong tees (they ere not very good) and they took multiple shots from the same spot around the course. I called the clubhouse and a ranger came out and asked the group behind us to speed up!!!!!!!!!!
Pace was terrible. I will never go back.
unfriendly pro shop worker
This was my third time playing this course in the last few years. Pace of play has varied depending on tee times. Early was better for us. This is a long wide course with much room for error. You may be disappointed if you like challenging play.
Be prepared to be treated rudely by the lady working the pro shop. Each time I've golfed there I was hoping not to have any interactions with her. She was the same person for all three of my visits. I hope the management reads this and makes some changes. I would love to be a more frequent customer. Also funny how the starters
would acknowledge her poor customer skills as well.
Nothing special
Looking for a last minute round with my wife before leaving FL and ran across Mirror Lakes on Golf Now so we thought we'd give it a try. Here's how I'd rate it: Greens were slow, but consistent. Fairways had adequate grass. Rough was spotty and un-kept. Most bunkers had very little sand and look as if they've never been maintained. Pace of play was reasonable considering we were two, following foursomes. I've played for many years on private, resort, and municipal level courses. I'd rank this one a mid level municipal. That being the case, I consider the green fees a little high at $60.00 (however it is February in So Florida so I suppose they can get it).
This course is good for all golfers
Nice course over priced for the condition, wide open not a lot of trouble.
Need to be updated
Sands traps are horrible almost no sand in it. The overall facilities needs to be improved.
Waste of money
There are a lot of courses in the area for less money that are very nice. I would not play this one again for half the price.
Decent, certainly not great.
Decent place to play, it is out in the boonies a bit. The course was in fair shape, lots of water to deal with. Pace of play was slow. Would I play it again? depends on what other options I had.
A surprise
A little out of the way but well worth it. This is one of the better fun courses in the Bradenton. Don't miss it. Great time for the $$. Great dollar value.
Play it once and you will most likely return again. I knowI I will.
The course was in great shape.
First time I played the course. It was a good value for the money.
Very Slow Play, Guy in front of us playing barefoot, enough said.
Course is always backed up on the first tee and always slow. Not a bad course for the money, but can get faster rounds at much better courses in the area for not that much more money.
