About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in Jun 2018.
Located in Lehigh Acres, Mirror Lakes Golf Club originally opened in 1958 as part of Admiral Lehigh Resort. It's one of the area's oldest courses. The club was re-founded in 1970 and got a new name and look. From the back tees, the golf course stretches to just over 7,200 yards for a par of 73. It's more difficult than the original design but it's also more fun. The course is long and mostly wide-open. Overall, it's player friendly enough for players of any skill level. Despite what its name would imply, sand comes into play more than water. The 11th is Mirror Lakes Golf Club's signature hole. This unique par 6 features a heavy smattering of out-of-bounds and bunkers along both sides of the fairway as well as a heavily guarded green. From the back tees, the hole will challenge even the best golfers.

Not Much
Not much of a course. You could barely see a difference between the fairway and the rough. Don't look for any manicured conditions. Weak at best. We made a tee time, but it made no difference. There was 4 groups waiting to tee off ahead of us.
Good average course, fair condition.
Good layout in average condition. Needs some extra maintenance. Greens were slow. Good place to work on your game. Would not want to play more than every twenty to thirty rounds.
Dry, busy, too many bookings.
Mirror Lakes is frequently busy, with not enough time left between foursomes. Course is in fair shape but suffering during the recent drought.
Will not return
Will not return neither will the couple we were paired with.
Course set up is strange and little information on how each hole is played. Bunkers need work. Very laid back. Find your own cart.
Although green fees are cheap it is not worth it to me.
This is an average Florida course withe some challenging holes.
Played this course 3/13/2013. $60 green fees this day. 5 hour round due to assumed over-booking. Had to wait on almost every shot. There were no Rangers on the course. The course was in acceptable shape and the greens were in good shape and putted true. Gasoline carts, that were sometimes cantankerous, got us through 18 holes. This is an OK course to play when you can't get a tee time on the better Florida courses.
Course was very playable. Had some tight lies but expected that there would be.
I played the course from the blue tees which added plenty of length and challenge especially on the par threes and the 11th hole. Bunkers could use more sand but were still playable. I was able to get out 1/2 hour early playing by myself behind two twosomes. A foursome of ladies followed me so I played two balls and was able to take my time and enjoyed the afternoon and course.
Good value for the money and a super friendly staff.
Having not played here before and in reading the limited reviews, we were not sure what to expect. From our first contact with the receptionist to the last with Melissa, it is obvious this course "goes all-out" to ensure your golfing needs are accomodated. Fairways and greens are superior to other similarly priced courses we have played in the Fort Myers area.
Great course!
The maintenance was moderate, the club house and the proshop are simply, but the layout of this course is excellent. It offers a huge number of challenges and the par 6 with a length of 707 yards is an absolute highlight. No other course has given so much pleasure. Don´t miss this course!
Nice Course
Nice course. Greens a bit slow, but in good shape.Well worth the drive from Cape Coral.
Not worth current green fees
The grass looks nice and green but don't let that fool you. Last year this course was a good value. They have since dramatically increased fees. The only improvement seen was the bathroom out on the course. The grass in the fairways is very green, but seems to be a mixture of grass and weeds all cut at the same level. The greens appear to be overseeded with a different grass and are very very bouncy bumpy and unpredictable. I wouldn't go back unless the price was $30s or so.
This course in it's day must have been something.
The course now is a bit worse for wear but we knew that it is one of the most popular public courses in the area. The staff was great the starter and rangers were doing their jobs and even though the course was busy we moved along well and finished I four hours. Did not play the 600 yard hole from the back but it looked impressive. The holes are all elevated and bunkered so you have to wedge into them. Greens were medium speed and hard to read. Tee boxes to match all skill levels. Overall a nice day and would play here again.
Give it a try.
Out by the airport, good course for your first or last round of a vacation. Well maintained. Nothing fancy but definitely playable. Greens rolled true. Good for the price.
Improved
My wife and I played this course 5-6 times last spring. This was our first play in this season. We found the course condition is better than last year, improved! We enjoyed golfing here very much. We have to back home for a month, but surely come back by the end of March, and come to play at least 4 times a week.
The course needs work
We had an early tee time and finished in 3.5 hrs. The fairways need work and so do the greens. Never saw a beverage cart. The driving range needs work as well - hard to find a level spot without ruts. Most tee boxes need leveling as well.
Course is just OK.
I read a lot of reviews and they stated that the pace of play seemed a bit long. We had a 7:15 tee time and got out on time. It took a little over 3.5 hours which was not bad at all. The condition of the course is moderate as the fairways have weeds and fire ants and the greens had a moderate amount of sand spots. But for $56 you really cannot beat it this time of the year. The clubhouse cashier was very friendly and helpful. The older players in the morning were very friendly as well.
Efficient staff
Very efficient staff. We got there and there was a huge group checking in for a 0930 tee time and by the time we got out of line we were right at our tee time. One of the cart guys loaded up the bags for my wife and told her to have me drive right up to the starter so we would not be behind this group. The starter was very friendly and helpful and sent us right to the tee box. The course was in pretty good condition. The greens were a bit slow but immaculate and true. Pace of play was right at 4 hours. Good hole layout. Cost was pretty pricey but it is that time of the year..
Very Pleased
Nice variety of holes , well maintained, all the necessary accommodations, friendly Staff. The pace of play was a little on the slow side, but not too terrible.
Overall good course.
Only criticism would be the confusion of tee color and placement for the women's tees.
rating scale did not work, sorry.
Very nice course but so poorly managed I would not play again for a while.
Many double bookings, lined up 16 deep at the first tee box, starter didn't have a clue. When I spoke to manager in pro shop was told even though I made my tee times four days prior he doesn't receive faxes until that morning which was his explanation for.the double bookings, a bunch of bs in my opinion. The play was over 5 hours with waits at 15 tee boxes as well as most shots. After speaking to many patrons that day this.is mostly a common occurrence. The proshop personal were not friendly at all. It maybe they are overwhelmed and don't know what to do but doubt it as they just didn't seem to care at.all.
Steer clear for now is my recommendation.
