Great Round
Staff friendly; course in great shape. Marshall was very engaging and kept pace of play moving at 4:10... if you haven’t played Empire Ranch - give it a shot - you won’t be disappointed!
Course was back up
The front nine took 2 hours and 45 minutes. When we got to number 10 there were three foursomes back on that tee. We finally had to skip three holes to get ahead the two foursomes that were ahead of us. There was a Marshal on site that must have been new, because it was a total disaster out there. When you pay $50 to play golf you should be able to play all the hole. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE STARTERS IN THE CLUB HOUSE, they could care less.
Bumpy greens
I believe they punched the greens a couple weeks ago and they just haven’t recovered yet. Will be nice once they roll the greens but today they were just bumpy and hard to hold a line.
Charging full price at 230p
Greens had recently been aerated and it was not disclosed and there was no reduction for the course condition.
But what really bothered me is I was still be charged for a full rate at 230p. I did not get to finish my round.
Just a little frustrating to pay full rate and not get full play.
Course was awesome I played with buddies that wanted to play from the back tees I went with them I shot a 98 I’m a 16.5 handicap I had a great day
Course is in great condition
For a public course, this course is in very good condition. Fairways, t boxes, and greens are well maintained.
Good course. Lousy tee boxes.
Played here on Friday April 2nd.
The course was in decent shape overall, but the tee boxes were deplorable. I didn’t see aeration marks, but they were half-covered in wood chips/mulch. Every tee marker was at the extreme back margin of the box where they hadn’t even mowed it down to normal grass height. You were basically sticking your tee in a poorly maintained fairway (or even rough, depending on the hole). This should be an embarrassment for a course charging $60 per round (with another $10 because I didn’t want to share a cart with a stranger during Covid). That’s absurd. And it’s a real shame. It’s a nice track on a nice property, but come on. Sad to say, I won’t be back anytime soon.
Great Day for Golf
Greens were still bumpy from punch marks and the tee boxes were subpar but everything else was in great shape. The course should play better in a couple weeks.
