Par 3 course
This is my first time playing on that golf course. It is a par 3 golf course which is easy to play. The one negative thing about the golf course is that a lot signs are missing on the start of the Par.
Slightly Disappointed
I was able to get a last minute tee time on Golf Now for this local course for me. The gentleman in the starters office was somewhat confused with my on line reservation, but let me start with a twosome at the correct start time. There were "camps" for youth going on which randomly started in front of us - I don't think they were scheduled. We had to jump to tee 3. From then on, we enjoyed a good round.
Close quarters, great value, only public option inside LA
Players:
13HCP-27yo-male, 20+HCP-28yo-female
Course:
The layout is great! It’s tight because it’s in the middle of the city, but each hole “feels” separate. (Just don’t shank it!) Each tee box is a driving range mat. Hole distances range from 80-140yd. Must walk, but they have decent 3-wheel pull/push carts—we used them! (It’s included in GolfNow booking price.)
People:
Pace of play was fantastic—for a Par 3 course. We waited ~5min or less at each tee box. There is foot golf as well on the same holes, but their pin is in a slightly different spot marked with red flags, not white. Clubhouse attendant was fine, just pay and check in.
Great Course / Bad Managing
I played here with my friend and had a great pace of play (besides the second tee box which tends to get stacked but every hole besides that is fine). The downside is that they allow soccer golf to occur at the same time as regular hold and there is seemingly no one going around to ensure they go by the course rules and don’t interfere with regular golfers. I’d say a majority of the soccer golf players were children, accompanied by parents, and they would skip holes and start playing on the hole before golfers had finished playing on it. Management didn't walk around to keep them in check and it made for a very annoying round of golf since it felt more like a children’s playground than a golf course. Probably won’t be going back for the Par 3
Could be better.
The course is a family friendly style. A very nice family with 4 kids and their Dad was in front of me. Great place for them to learn the game. The greens were in pretty poor shape. No apron and ball makes everywhere. Not a good place to play if you are looking for a well maintained course.
High Hopes
This plays has the potential for being a fun par 3 course, however, it doesn’t hit the mark. The range mats you tee off from and real bad and the greens are in need of some serious TLC. I had fun for the most part and for $9 it’s not terrible.
Good for short games
No low hanging trees, pretty flat course, good to practice your short games!
