Crane Creek Reserve Golf Course at Melbourne

Price, thru golf now was very good rate. Course was in good shape, had a few areas that needed work.
Was fairly easy course to play, has quite a few trees and water, made for a bit of trouble.. But I would play it again .

I like to play this course because it is a short distance from my residence, a good value for the money and usually fairly well maintained. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. All in all a great course for the not so "serious" golfer.

greens need work as they differ greatly in speed and condition....fairways were good....no too many weeds

Moderately challenging course.
The greens are not fast but are good. They are smaller than they used to be. The bunkers are all right. Fairways have weeds but not too many bare lies.
Regular priced green fees are a little high for this course though.

I found this course in fair condition considering we have not had rain here to any degree in a long time. We played and all enjoyed our round. It is a good course play with minimal trouble.

great course for the money. Golf carts are excellent. Greens are winter height which make them a bit slow but are in great shape.

We have played Crane Creek twice through Golfnow in the last two weeks. The staff in the Pro Shop where you check in is very unfriendly. We were early both times and he would not check us in until the exact tee time right down to the minute. He even made my husband wait one more minute. There was no one there waiting to tee off the entire time we were waiting. As a matter of fact, it was so windy there was hardly anyone there playing golf. I would play there again with a Golfnow deal but I would not go to the course and pay their regular rate

Helpful and polite are not words that I would use for either the person checking us in or the starters. At the desk all he could say was that the city did not trust him enough to take just the confirmation number and I should have had a printed copy of my receipt. However as I was traveling and did not have access to a printer this was not possible for me. Finally he found the paper work which he has received and allowed us to play at the amount quoted and registered for on golfnow website, only after he said the amount was what they usually charged for walking and he didn't understand why a cart was included. I do not believe that he understood the concept of getting a good deal through the golfnow web site and perhaps he had not been schooled on the process and how it worked. But I really do believe he could have more friendly. They weren't busy because of the weather (cold & windy) so we didn't really hold any one up.

Good. Nice layout, on and easy to recover from bad shots most of the time.

Downside: Carts have no windshields suprising since they are brand new. Very tough dependong on weather

A fairly easy, flat course with little chance of losing balls, unless you put the ball in one of the multiple water hazards. Fairways are wide and the rough is fairly short. A few of the Par 5's are challenging, although it is quite possible to score well on these as well. A great confidence booster.

nice confidence building course. not alot of ways to get into trouble.

There are not many hard features so is nice course for beginners all the way to very experienced.

Was surprised to find what good shape this municipal course was in. Last time I played almost a year ago it was not the case. But this time we rode in a new golf cart with built in club and ball washer, and the best part was that the greens are in great shape. Not just good, great. They played slow, but that gives credit to the lush grass on the greens. I even asked if they had sprayed them a green color! Fairways and rough ok with some touch spots but also some pristine ones. The water hazards are drying up, which may be good for some, but does not contribute to the good looks of the course.

municipal course. Not in very good shape. Rather short, but makes up for itby having many players.

Wide open very forgiving could use more visible yardage markers.

It was a great day to spend with friends on a very nice well kept golf course.

Course is long enough for the man and short enough for your lady friend. Restrooms are clean and available with drinking water. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
