Best Value in Brevard County
Course is in excellant shape, with fantastic greens.
Great course
Very slow on back 9 but great course one of my faverts
Great course, great condition
This is a great course for anyone who likes to play
relatively short yardage with some challenging holes.
Rained out on back none no refund or credit
Enjoyed the course however, we paid for 18 holes and the rained out on the back nine. Did not know how to receive a rain check.
Keep it Straight
Plan on keeping the driver in the bag on many holes. You may not need the distance here, but accuracy is a must. Fairways were reasonable for this time of year. Greens are slow but fair.
In good shape it will be interested .The greens are well
Bunkers not clean ,grass in fairways poor
Great location, great value
My wife and I enjoyed playing Spessard Holland. It's a forgiving but challenging course. Very good value for the rate.
Don't Be Fooled!!!
I used to play this course regularly when I lived nearby. Yesterday I took three senior friends to play Spessard for the first time. They took one look at the scorecard and wanted to play from the long tees. I suggested that we stay with the blue tee markers for their first time. After we finished our play everyone agreed that this course had the greenest grass we've seen on courses we've been playing in the Brevard area. Everyone felt the narrowness and accuracy requirements of your golf game made this a very challenging course. We look forward to playing again.
PLAY IT FROM THE TIPS
Integrity Golf just took over management of this county owned facility and improvements in the course condition already evident. On first look at scorecard you may thing this layout is a piece of cake. Don't be fooled. From the tips it is a lot of challenge. Currently the food and beverage is limited to snacks in the pro shop. Hence, no beer after your round. Boo.
Improvements needed
Very busy the day we played which explains the slow pace. New management company operating this course so hopefully they will get it together soon. No score cards, no starter and parts of the course could use some TLC. Still a great little course that is no pushover, especially from the back tee.
One of the nicest executive golf cources I have played in Florida
Integrity golf has just purchased and will no doubt ruin another golf course. Will not play again unless dramatic changes are made. Walk into the clubhouse to sign up along with several others, mass confusion, they had run out of score cards and we were told to go out and play without. No starter, no ranger. Our starting time was at 1:11pm. At 1:11 our foursome had three foursomes on the first tee ahead of us. Waited and pushed on every shot, five and a half hours to play and executive course is ridiculous. Restaurant closed, snacks in the pro shop only.
Staff was great
The course is in very good condition, but the greens are slow. Watch out for the sand, the traps are fluffy.
The course is a very busy course, but most of the time a single can pair-up.
Would recommend it to anybody.
Great day of golf
No issues with reservation. Got our carts quick and went right out at the tee time. Pace was perfect, with never needing to wait for anyone in front, or anyone pushing us. Relaxing and fun!
Great Course
Had a great day with 4 players. Very busy, play was a little slow, but we finished in 4 hrs. We will play again and will recommend the course to our friends in Sebastian.
a nice little course
it's a great little course often breezy but very fair great view of the river
Holland is where we are from
Very nice course. friendly people. thank you!
Staff is very friendly but strict on the no cooler rule.
Lots of hazard, wet and dry.
Excellent short course
A very nice short par 66 course, but dont let that fool you. The rough is cut to look benign but is like hitting out of steel wool. Stay in the fairway. Overhanging palm threaten to grab your ball on many holes. Course condition was excellent. Particularly the greens. Go, you'll like it!
Customer Service
I have played here many times over the last 5 years because of its proximity to where I live. The staff here is unbelievably rude barring the girls who work in the snack bar. I have been made to feel so unwelcome here but I keep going back because I'm not going to be manipulated by a bunch of cranky employees and volunteers. The course is fun but this place would be so much better if a motivated staff with an appreciation for customers and basic manners worked there. Their bad attitude affects play in a sport that requires concentration. The County Commissioner for this area should clean house at this county run golf course. I know I am far from being the only one locally who feels this way.
Golf course great, staff needs attitude adjustment
Course was in pretty good shape overall. The greens were nice, especially considering the heavy traffic they receive (and lack of players repairing their own ball marks). Golf is always enjoyable here, but the proshop staff and volunteers need to simply be more kind. They always seem to make you feel unwelcome, which is a shame. If you happen to book your tee-time online, they'll flat out be mean to you. I was told that the course doesn't receive the revenue from online bookings, and that it goes directly to golf now.com. Why allow people this option if you're going to treat your customers bad because of it? The man in the proshop "Tom" is ALWAYS unpleasant, and should frankly be fired. Ask around, or simply read the other reviews.......I'm not the only one complaining about him!
Close with the Chickens
I never find the older men very friendly. A real turn off. The waitress is the only friendly face I see.
Is that necessary at a golf course? I think so.
They were closed inside when we finished our round. Not nice. 5:30 ish
