In good shape, better than average course
Since the small redesign a few years back this course is very good. It's not perfect, but I'm definitely a fan. They have it in good shape too. Worth a stop
4 stars for everything
Everything is good. Nothing to complain.
Some spots on fairways may need better maintenance attention.
Course needs a Marshall
Not sure why there was a 5some playing in front of us, it was very annoying. Pace was very slow and backed up the first timer I played here too.
Overall Experience
Impressive overall experience. From the check in process and the staff in the pro shop to the starter its a pleasant and efficient operation. The facility and the course are in great condition. Definitely its worth a come back for another round or more.
Pace of play
Pace of play is terrible. It took nearly 3 hours to play 9 holes. I left after 9 because I couldn’t take waiting for ages on every shot. It’s pretty upsetting paying $66 for a 3:05 tee time and not being able to get to finish my round.
Fun but slow Saturday twilight
hot deal was great! Unfortunately pace of play somehow was backed up. There was a starter but no Marshalls. GPS carts a plus and showing pace of play, but it didn’t help. Some days are like that. Unfortunately with 315 tee time and 710 sunset we weren’t able to finish. Fairways and green were nicely maintained. I didn’t lose any balls! 2 bodies of water, one of which is a hazard for white , but no goose poop, no geese in general. Windy though which is typical here. Nice surroundings despite nearby freeway. Easy check in, we didn’t have to wait for a cart, but others had a few minutes of wait time. Course is walkable. Will definitely come back
Outstanding Facility
This place has two premium courses. The Tournament course is fantastic. Hikes 2-8 are breathtaking. Will try the Valley course for sure next time. The wind can change this course overnight. Luckily I played for the first time ever here with no wind. Very pure course.
Fantastic Course
The course is always in great shape. The greens could be better if it were not for all the pitch marks that needed repair.
The bar personnel need training, especially the older female bartender. She likes to treat her regulars before everyone else., even if everyone else arrived 10 minutes before her regulars. She needs to leave her arrogance at the door, crack a smile and be pleasant. Aggression is never appealing.
The pro shop staff could crack a smile every now and again, just to show that they like the idea of working there.
I will be back, but my visit will not include the restaurant.
Cart died, took over 20 minutes to get a new one
Everything was fantastic until our cart died on the 14th hole fairway. Took over 20 minutes and multiple redirects of phone calls as no one could get ahold of the clubhouse to send another cart out. Awful customer service. We had two groups play through, one of them stating how their cart died the last time they played and it also took them forever to get a new cart. Our round was completely nuked due to the delay. Its unacceptable. Luckily we got the teeoff deal for $61 instead of the $92 on CC website.
Driving range and practice bunker
This morning I went and worked a little on my swing. Some of the grass tees were tore up and very hard to hit off of. I’m a middle of the road golfer, and hitting off of dirt Is difficult for me. I know they get a lot of use. But the folks in charge need to figure this out, it’s not the first time.
I bought a medium bucket of balls, and had to cull at least 8 out that had chunks missing from them!! Comon, put some new balls in the machine.
The bunker right next to the chipping green in poor shape. It was full of small pebbles , wet and like trying to hit off of damp cement. Not good for clubs!
Comin Coyote, get it together!!!!
Pace of play is getting bad
I’ve played coyote creek since it opened and valley course is great for its length and challenge, plus you get some of the old riverside nostalgia. The pace of play however has gotten to be pretty bad. I’ve played three times in the last couple months booking a time with plenty of openings around it; haven’t finished in under four and a half in any of them and over five in two of them.
