Green were very recently punched and sanded. Course did not disclose this condition and rates were not adjusted lower for this condition.
Sanded greens
Greens were sanded, not notified in the app. Very disappointing
Greens sandy
When we booked the tees, it didn’t say anything about repairing and/or aerification. We played Wednesday 31st March. The golf club and GolfNow.com should say something beforehand. It was my second time playing here; it happened the same before.
Fantastic Day
The Valley Course was spectacular. Most people walking, perfect weather, and new great company.
Gotta hole and one on the 17th hole.
Perfect day at Coyote
Great course overall
The Valley course did not disappoint, I expected a quality course with Nicklaus name attached and it delivered. Staff was friendly and let you know course conditions including greens which was very helpful. Tee boxes were level, fairways were cut short so rollout was generous, rough was not bad at all and flag positions were challenging on certain holes which made play more interesting. I would recommend buying the course book which has all the distances and greens info, best 12 dollars I spent. I will be back for the tournament course in the near future. I would highly recommend this course.
A real test for your skill at playing in the wind?
Unfortunately not only is this course located next to a major freeway but it is also located in a wind tunnel.
Temporary drawback is that only handicap golfers may use golf carts on Valley Course.
I usually play the tournament course at this facility. It has well maintained greens and fairways, and has pretty consistent conditioning. However, since they are now charging $84 a round before 2:00 we decided to play the Valley course. Because of covid all the carts are use for the tournament course resulting in the Valley course being walking only even though it is close to 7,000 yards.
The fairway grass is very inconsistent with a lot of dried out spots. The greens were green but as hard as my concrete driveway. Impossible to land an approach shot soft enough to stay on the green.
I do like the course layout and contouring of the greens, but keep thinking that with better maintenance this would be a very nice course to play.
Cold and rainy
Went out with two friends and had another player join us. Had a decent day just not consistent on each hit. That’s in me of course.
I enjoy playing on different courses and I will definitely be back.
Only back nine open
I was surprised to find out that the front nine was closed to aerate the greens. I was actually okay play holes 8-16 twice because I had originally planned to come out to get in a good practice round. The course was not crowded at all and I went solo hitting two different colored balls and keeping score for both. I have been having trouble control when hitting my driver so the practice was good. Second time around I hit my three wood. I will be playing golf here again,
Always enjoy this course
It’s a hour drive from Palo Alto however I feel it’s worth the drive. On this day the greens were aerated with plenty of sand. No complaint here, the greens need to be maintained so had to putt on 18 mini.beaches.. look forward to going back with fresh greens.
Nice day even with a little rain and lots of wind.
Greens were fast but reasonable today. Wind heavy, two clubs less down wind and two clubs up into the wind. Staff was excellent and fairways were good.
