Good Course
Had to walk the course because they are using the carts for members and the tournament course which wasn't the issue. The hole layouts are pretty confusing at times and the signage could be vastly improved to help. Overall the course was in very good condition but the pace of play was very slow for a Thursday morning and some members keep cutting around to to different holes which I'm assuming had something to do with it. I prefer the Tournament course much better. The valley just isn't very good in my opinion. That being said it was pretty good value.
Cool
It was great to play. I just wish they aloud carts.
Greens need work
Course can be so nice and fair to lpay, but they've really let a.number of the greens go. The are marked, bumpy and inconsistent. Not sure why they've cheapened out. The place is packed and should more than justify the extra care needed to make them better.
unable to play
Was unable to play. Pro shop informed me would not rent me cart for the Valley Course, which I booked for. They rent only on other course. Not able to rent cart online. Was unaware of this until arrived, traveling 30 miles. With knee issue was unable to walk, so left without playing, loosing green fee. No offer to refund or rebook. Was angry and disappointed.
Pace of play horrible, staff mediocre.
Second week in a row that the pace of play was an issue. Had to skip a hole to pass a group two weeks ago, and last week the incredibly slow 5some in front of us wouldn't let us play through. There was a man "coaching" his daughters, by basically playing the round with them for free, along with the other twosome. He was encouraging his daughters to play 2 and sometimes 3 balls on a hole. There were two empty holes in front of them, but i was fed up with skipping holes to accommodate slow players. We talked to the Marshall 4 times. He tried to bs us and say that there were groups on the holes in front of the slow group. The problem with that is that you can see the empty holes ahead. We finally had to yell at the girls about playing, when they decided to tee up their third balls on a par three while we were waiting on the tee behind them. Talked to the marshal again, he did nothing... he was being non confrontational and probably just scoots around the course, for free golf. Disappointed, will not be going back. Apparently they are also not allowing carts on the valley course, but have like 2 push carts for rent. This place is a disaster right now, San Jose Muni is an honest better option at this point.
It's a tough walk, but a great course (yardage markers are the exception)
I have always enjoyed this course and the small redesign several years ago just made it much more player friendly. Course was in pretty good condition (not pristine mind you).
The downside... It's a very long walk (I went about 6 miles) because the course is spread out from green to the next tee.
AND frustratingly, the yardage is very difficult to keep track of without the usual GPS enabled carts. IMHO if they are going to keep this 18 as a walkers course they need much better markers. I got away with it because I've played here dozens of times. Otherwise, I'd probably be upset honestly.
Good to golf.
Coyote Creek is fun. Valley course was walking only and they removed all water on the course. No cart driving around either so be prepared. Would like to see them implement “ready golf” rules to avoid 4.5 hour rounds. I understand golf etiquette, but that’s for better players than the ones in front of me yesterday. Also, lost balls are not to be found, drop and we move on. Just too hot to sit behind bad players looking for balls sprayed all over the course.
NEED DRINKING WATER ON COURSE FOR WALKERS!
Good for walking and affordable golf course
It's good to play. Some windy. Cold in the early morning.
The golf course is good. However, some wind and car noise may annoy you during several front tees.
Sunday morning golf
The course is very flat and easy to walk, which was important because they did not have enough carts for both courses due to Covid which is understandable.
On this day although we teed off at 7:15am the wind was up and never let up all day. It did make several holes very difficult.
The greens were perfect and very fair. We had a lot of fun and never had to wait to hit a shot.
Great Course challenging
Love this place 2 courses to pick from. I carry my bag on the Valley course the other course I would recommend a cart.
