About
Nestled in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains, Yucaipa Valley Golf Club enjoys a stunning backdrop on most of its holes. The beautifully maintained course is certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. Yucaipa Valley offers the unique combination of being both challenging and affordable, for this reason it's a local favorite. The layout is player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. It's not terribly formidable but the greens can be challenging because of the slope and speed. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides and the occasional water hazard comes into play. The 13th is the signature hole at Yucaipa Valley Golf Club. This tricky par 3 has a severely undulating green bordered by out-of-bounds on the right and water on the left.

Bad Pace of Play
Course conditions are good. I saw that efforts have been taken to fix some of the greens Kudos for that. Food at the turn was great but the wait was long since they only had one person taking orders and handing out food.. HOWEVER, the pace of play is a BIG Problem at this course. There was no marshal to help regulate groups off the first tee or to monitor groups on the course. My wife and I joined another twosome on the first tee since we could see that the foursome in the fairway was struggling. We new right then we were in for a long day day. We get to the 2nd tee and find 6 guys on the tee box just talking by the carts with no one in view in the fairway. There was no urgency for anyone to hit their tee shots when we rolled up. Finally, two of them hit and we had to wait 20 mins for them and the foursome to hit their tee shots and move down the fairway at a snails pace. The pair that we joined gave up after nine holes. My wife and I jumped the foursome at 11 and found open holes on 12, 13 and a group in the fairway on 14. We played 12-18 without waiting on any shot. I'm not sure that the good rates at Yucaipa are worth it anymore. Please address the slow play by the men's club members.

worst place to go
I went to play but I ended up going home after 6 holes. I had to wait 20-40 mins every hole. I tried to skip holes but every single hole has traffic. It took little more than 3 hours to play 6 holes.

Used to play this course years ago. When downhill fast. First time playing it in 5 years course is back to where it used to be. Great condition and layout. Good food in the restaurant. Will definitely play again soon

Weather great Sunday play a little slower but over all most greens are good need to replace sand bunkers full of rocks. But besides that good play.
