Yucaipa Valley Golf Club
About
Nestled in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains, Yucaipa Valley Golf Club enjoys a stunning backdrop on most of its holes. The beautifully maintained course is certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. Yucaipa Valley offers the unique combination of being both challenging and affordable, for this reason it's a local favorite. The layout is player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. It's not terribly formidable but the greens can be challenging because of the slope and speed. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides and the occasional water hazard comes into play. The 13th is the signature hole at Yucaipa Valley Golf Club. This tricky par 3 has a severely undulating green bordered by out-of-bounds on the right and water on the left.

Good overall
Poor looking tee boxes. Uneven and packed dirt. A few strands of grass here and there. Tea boxes could use some sand. Fairways and greens looked great. Great pace of play. But then again, tee time was 6 am.
Thank You for coming out to play! Hope to see you again soon.
WAY bad
I’ve played here since it opened many years ago. I played yesterday and it was the worst experience yet. I was a single and got paired up (expected) but had to share a cart! Shared a cart with some random…course conditions were terrible. Tee boxes were basically dirt, fairways hammered, bunkers were like concrete and full of rocks. Chipped my sand wedge on a rock in a bunker. Group I was paired with all decided to take relief from any bunker for the day after it ruined my club. Range netting has gaping holes, so the first fairway is full of range balls and we had one hit our cart while waiting to take 2nd shots. Greens were decent…only good thing I found. All of the staff was rude, even more so when I questioned the cart situation. I was referred to the “GM” and he was immediately argumentative and dismissive. He basically said “we do whatever we want”. The bar/restaurant was full, range and putting green packed, course full of golfers…which is often the case. So, they must be making money, which only points to mismanagement. Course needs a complete overhaul…conditions AND staff. Don’t waste your money. With several other area courses to choose from, spend less for Rancho Del Sol or pay the same for Tukwet/Oak Valley. ALL are far better experiences. It’s sad. Yucaipa was always a nice place to play.
Tim
I apologizee you were not aware of the shared cart policy. We continue to work on our course conditions. Thank you for coming out
Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. Please come and see us again!
Thank you for coming out to play! We hope you come back again soon
Thank you for taking the time to review us. Please come again soon!
Not bad
Like this course, just some holes could not see the ball flying track as the sunshine.
It’s a fantastic course!
Honestly the course is basically in perfect condition. Greens are good, fairways lush, beautiful course! They really have stepped it over here at Yucaipa!
We strive to give our customers the best experience possible. Thank You for coming out. Please come again soon!
Views were great and the course conditions were great! However, for how good the fairways and greens were, the tee boxes were just bad in comparison. Also, this course needs to invest in some new range balls! They were probably the worst balls I’ve seen in a while. All together, would recommend and look forward to playing here again.
Thank you for coming out to play! We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Thank You the review. I hope to see you again soon.
This course has gone downhill in the last few years.
Don’t believe any of the reviews like I did. The last couple of times I’ve played this course, one about 6 months ago and another about a year ago. After each of these instances, I said I wouldn’t come back unless they took care of the course. I played here last Sunday 3/23, after reading some of the recent reviews. I can’t see how anyone who has ever played at any other course than here could give a good review. First off, I paid for a single player and a cart, they said in order to play I have to ride with another single player. I’ve played a lot of gotat a lot of courses and NEVER had to share a cart with a stranger. Secondly the people that n the shop and on the course are just rude and seem like they don’t want to be there, maybe they shouldn’t. Thirdly, the course conditions were horrible, every tee box was about 90% dirt. The greens were even worse. There were recently aireated and how so much sand on them that putting was useless. Fourthly, the bunkers had puddles and I don’t know what they call sand, but there wasn’t any.
I’m never coming back to play here, which is too bad. This course used to be really nice until a couple of years ago.
I would have gave minus stars if I could have, total waste of money!
Thank you for coming out to play. I apologize for the course conditions. We just completed our spring maintenance and we are working on the rest of the course to bring the speed back up. We have plans to work on our bunkers late in 2025. I hope you give us another try later this year when the greens have sped back up.
Tee it up.
Tee boxes we not in the best shape. Sloping tee boxes.
Thank you for coming out to play. We continue to work on the course conditions. I appreciate your review. Please come out again soon.
Need a Marshal and starter.
Course is in good shape. New carts The greens are much improved from last fall. Bunkers are still too rocky and hard. Biggest problem is the players. Lack of etiquette, slow play, starting on back 9 and cutting people off. In this day at least 2 groups decided to start on the back 9 and totally backed up the whole course. It took 2 hours to play 4 holes. The course would be a 3.5 star or 4* recommend if there was just a Marshall enfore rules and pace of play.
I would love to hear more about this issue. I assure we do not want any players jumping on the back 9. Please reach out to me @ sflowers@wgolfp.com
Lori was RUDE
The lady Lori at the front counter was super rude. Not just to me, but to just about everyone I saw her come in contact with, both in the clubhouse and outside. She talks to people like their children, shakes her head, rolls her eyes and just has an overall bad attitude.
I would love to hear more about your experience here at Yucaipa Valley Golf Club. Please reach out to me at sflowers@wgolfp.com
Fast greens
The greens on this course are crazy fast. I was playing with 3 members that have been playing golf for 40+ years and they said they can never get good reads here.
Thank you for taking the time to review the course. Our green tend to speed up in the winter months. We will do our maintenance next month and they will be back to the perfect speed.
Pace of play was horrible
The course and conditions were nice. The pace of play was awful. By the third hole, we noticed that the two groups in front of us had decided not to be two groups of four but partner up and be a group of eight. It would take them forever. They were driving up close to the greens and it prevented us from being able to finish our game we had a tee time And didn’t have time to finish. We did call the clubhouse at one point and ask the Marshall to pass the play out better. That didn’t help. We understood it was a Sunday and the weather was beautiful so it could be slow, but this group in front of us really killed it for us. Problem fixed at the beginning of the game probably would have finished and had Marshall done something about it that would’ve been nice but now I have no desire to go back.
We apologize for the slow play on sunday. We had a large group we were not able to push around in a timely manner. Please send me an email sflowers@wgolfp.com so i can do something for you.
Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. We are coming out of dormant season and the grass is begining to wake up. Please come see us again next month our tee boxes will look better.
