About
There are two championship courses at Foxtail Golf Club, the North and the South. Situated in the heart of wine country, both courses enjoy a lush, scenic landscape and pleasant views of the surrounding countryside. The longer and more difficult North Course was completely redesigned to make it more challenging but the player-friendly South Course has remained a favorite destination of both Sonoma and Marin Counties for its playability. It provides a more beginner-friendly option than the North, but there are still plenty of challenges in store. No water hazards come into play but there are several strategically placed bunkers as well as trees lining the fairways. In addition to the two golf courses, Foxtail also boasts one of the best practice facilities in the North Bay. There is a full driving range available as well as chipping and putting greens.

Overall, it’s good except for the ffivesome in front of us. We could’ve finished our round in less than four hours if they weren’t talking too much time on the green. ’ll definitely go back and play the South course this time.
Nice course
Only complaint was the greens Keeper. He was on the green on every hole changing the hole location and made us wait every time. It was rude and very time consuming. 5.30am Tee time and didn’t finish until almost 10 because of this rude greens keeper. Drove to far and paid 60$ to wait for some jerk to move.
Not worth the money
I played the North Course and I was not impressed at all with the course. First off they had only one person cleaning the carts and he was behind so they pulled out the old carts, so lucky me I got an old one. Multiple neighbors were having some sort of pool party with music blasting as you were trying to tee off with curse words flying all over the place. If you want to get something to eat or drink after 9 you'll have to cross the street to get to the club house and if you don't want to do that, good luck getting the cart person to stop so you can get something from them. Was on the green on 10 when they drove by and they had no intentions of stopping so I could get something to drink. I have no intentions of playing this course again
The time is now
The course is getting played out and in areas it is worn down. The course needs water is alot of areas. Overall it was a good round of golf.
Drying out
There are areas that are parched and brown. Needs a little water
Foxtail GC
Course was in great shape. Fairways were a little over watered in some spots. A lot of doglegs! Some real challenges.
This round was played on the south course
We played the south course foxtail, everything worked out well, excellent staff, weather was great, pace of play perfect.
Nice but could be much better.
Tee box was in bad condition, but a nice place to play.

Slow Day at Foxtail
Perfect day for golf but the pace of play on the back 9 was slow. We had a 3 4 some back-up at # 13.
Might have been the pool party at 14 with the thong clad coed, maybe............

We played the south course not the north. But it was really nice playing again. The staff was excellent! The course was in very good shape/

Foxtail is a great time.
We arrived to a little wait checking in but the staff was great and was simple process. Course was in very good shape. No wait on tees, pace of play was very good. Done in under 4 hours.
