Foxtail Golf Club - South Course
About
There are two championship courses at Foxtail Golf Club, the North and the South. Situated in the heart of wine country, both courses enjoy a lush, scenic landscape and pleasant views of the surrounding countryside. The longer and more difficult North Course was completely redesigned to make it more challenging but the player-friendly South Course has remained a favorite destination of both Sonoma and Marin Counties for its playability. It provides a more beginner-friendly option than the North, but there are still plenty of challenges in store. No water hazards come into play but there are several strategically placed bunkers as well as trees lining the fairways. In addition to the two golf courses, Foxtail also boasts one of the best practice facilities in the North Bay. There is a full driving range available as well as chipping and putting greens.

Group jumped out in front of us on the turn. Asked pro shop to ask them where they came from. Took a couple of holes before Marshall got in a chat. Group eventually left after catching up with the groups in front of us but irritated that we had to wait before that.
I was charged for 4 players when we only had three. Would appreciate a refund from golf now if possible. Usually I book through the app the. Pay at the course but was already charged
Greens were in great shape, fairways something to be desired, but a good layout and pace of play was good for a Sunday afternoon.
Good course except for the cement bunkers on the south course
V. Nice North Course
I really enjoyed my 1st time playing this course. Everything was in very good shape. Recommend you get a cart because it’s a bit spread out within some home subdivisions. Only critique is the greens were on the smaller side, but it’s sand traps were (unlike other places I’ve been to) were in stellar shape. Definitely would play here again!
Foxtail north
The layout of this course is perfect. A good combination between straight forward holes and holes you need too position your shots accordingly.
GOOD COURSE
Was an OK public course. The fairways and rough were a little poor condition. . If you are OK to move your ball to find a decent lie it is OK. Greens are in excellent shape, The bunkers are just hard dirt - do not even need to rake as you cannot dent the surface. Ok at $45 but no more. If the conditions were better would be an excellent track.
