I've played this course before when it was in good condition, but they lost both course water pumps and subsequently lost all green grass on the fairways. The tee boxes and greens are still in great shape but you have to either tee it up in the fairways or fluff it up. They have been resodding sections of a lot of the fairway landing areas, they need to reseed all the fairways but that would be very expensive and they don't seem to want to do that! too bad cuz it's a real fun course to play and very close to all the Condos and RV parks.The online price of $25.00 with a cart ALMOST makes it worth the bad fairways. I will play it again BUT ONLY because of the price!!!

Many Years of Playing

My wife and I drive to Puerto Penasco, (Rocky Point) from Tucson, AZ and play Las Palomas about once a month from October to May or June. We have done so for years.
Las Palomas is always GREEN and the putting greens are very good. It is one of three great courses in Rocky Point and we play them all.

las palomas review

When I went out to play the back nine was not open due to some maintenance work. It seems that this summers drought really hurt the course and so between the tee box and greens is basically dirt. The greens are in nice condition, but there really wasn't much to this course are far as obstacles go. When they are able to regrow the fairways I would be interested in playing again.
