The Golf Club at Hilton Head Lakes

We liked the course although the greens were in somewhat rough condition. There was quite a distance between holes I would not recommend anybody ever trying to walk this course. There was a nice variety of holes. And we felt we received a good value for the price we paid. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Have played this course many times and it has always been in great shape. The greens are especially nice always fast and true. Would continue playing here whenever I can get out

Course had a tough winter. Lots of crabgrass on fairways and rough, poanna on greens, but they rolled well. Sand traps like cement. Temporary trailer/clubhouse is very nice. New permanent structure under construction. Minimal food and beverage available.

I was paired with a gentleman who happened to be a Christian also. We had a really great time. The course was just right for us. One group allowed us to go through and we were on our way to a good round. I plan to go back again

Just passing through it was a nice day. I play 18 every day somewhere. I don't have much to say when I only played this course once.

Course in excellent shape as usual, even after a good amount of rain in previous several days....Staff always friendly and courteous...would definitely recommend course and will surely play again....

Played this course with my wife and enjoyed our round. We arrived early and the starter let us go on out - the course was wide open and we played the entire round without having to wait at any hole. The fairways are very wide. The greens were very fast. Enjoyed the round and plan to play their again during our trip. Be aware that they are building their permanent clubhouse so they are still operating in a modular building and the restrooms out on the course are just porta-pots.

This course is an excellent layout. Lots of water and sand. Overall the course was in good shape. Poanna grass in the greens, but it iis not and issue if you play early before the poanna grows on the greens. I would recommend this course for the discounted hot deal on Golfnow.

Played it last week. Course was in relatively good shape, though the fairways were sparse in spots, and the greens had a lot of poa. Still rolled pretty good on all but a few holes. A few weeks of maintenance should get the course in good shape. Nice layout. Challenging, but not over the top. Room to spray it a little on most holes. Saw some gators.

Threat of rain so really no one around. Had the course to ourselves. The course was ok with sparse growth on the fairways and the greens were average to good. Course has a links feel as it is wide open but with some challenging holes. We got a good rate on Golf Now at $15.00 and feel it was very good value for that rate. Staff was friendly. Makeshift clubhouse as they are in the process of building their clubhouse. Overall, a good experience and would definitely go back.

The place is a goat-track and the greens are deplorable

Great layout for all skill levels! The tees and greens are in pretty good shape but the greens are currently in rough shape with other grasses growing through creating a bumpy surface. The staff is great as is the maintenance crew so I'm sure it won't be long till they are running true again. When they are, this course is a good one to play wen visiting HHI/Bluffton.

HH Lakes was an outstanding choice and I will be telling all of my friends about this one. I played with my wife, it was great because women get a generous tee from the men's tees. I liked how the men's tees usually afford you the opportunity to turn up the driver volume with a boom while the approaches are well guarded and challenging. Many of the par fours are long and challenging. I loved the layout, the course needs some maturity, but don't let that fact bother you at all, it is a GREAT place to play. Oh, the clubhouse is temporary, but serves your needs just fine. Love this course. Great practice facilities as well.

This is still in developing stage. The greens were in poor shape as well as the fairways. We think improvements will come in the future. The staff was very welcoming and we were treated well.

Only three stars because the greens aren't in real good
condition yet. Enjoyed the layout. Very generous fairways. Nice practice areas.

Good value for the money, very good greens this time of year, interesting layout...

Nice layout but some of the greens were 50% po. Wet do due recent rains and the fairways in transition. Different weather will help everthing but the greens. Worth the $ 24 is the best I can say.

It had rained a lot the day before so course was very wet. We had a cart but they had to stay on the cart path so we also did a lot of walking. We also got rained on for about 4 holes but still enjoyed the day. It looks like a nice course and hope to go back and play again in better weather.
