About
Gillette Ridge Golf Club in Bloomfield, just outside of Hartford, is an Arnold Palmer Signature course. It is one of the toughest rounds in all of New England. The course sprawls across a beautiful landscape covered with natural wetlands and forests of towering maples, oaks, and elm trees. There are strategically placed bunkers in addition to the natural challenges but they are not excessive. The wetlands come into play on almost half of the holes at Gillette Ridge Golf Club. The approaches to the greens are seemingly intimidating but as long as you don't hit short there is always bailout area on one side. Since each hole presents a unique challenge, there is not just one signature hole, but one of the most memorable holes is the par-5 second, a true risk-reward test that requires both length and accuracy.

New Review
The course was in decent shape except for the sand traps. Many traps were full of water. By April 11th, one would expect the sand traps to at least be drained and partially repaired. They will need plenty of sand to correct the problem.
Great value! Price is fantastic for a course of this caliber. Too bad people don't fix ball marks! Nice layout of holes. Keeps your attention. Staff is great & bar is pretty well stocked. I drove 1 1/2 hours to get there and well worth it!
Excellent for this time of year
Arrived early to my tee time but the staff were very accommodating and allowed me to join a threesome. Course for this time of year was in excellent condition. Had a great time!
Great staff
Everybody we dealt with and encountered were very friendly and helpful. Glad to be able to get a round in at the end of November. Looking forward to playing again, December's golf is next. ⛳️🎅
Great warm mid November golf day
Nice course layout and hot value , was busy with other golfers after 12th hole due to nice weather day understandably
Didn’t get 18 holes in due to darkness but was fun day
Great Round
60 degree in November. Staff was very friendly. Ranger was on duty and very active with keeping groups on pace. Conditions were good. Greens were great. Value for the price is unmatched. 10/10

Definitely would recommend..
Love this course. Only second time I've played it and it was in terrific shape! Rough was a bit thick, which made it a bit more challenging, but the fairways and greens were excellent. Only down side was the bunkers. They must have had a heavy rain a day or two ago as the sand was hardpack and some bunkers still had water in them. Otherwise this is a great course and I will absolutely play it again.
