About
The Wildhorse Golf Club is the first of three planned courses for the Robson Ranch Community outside of Denton. Designed by architect Gary Stephenson, the course opened the second nine in October 2002.
The signature hole is on the front, a 566-yard par 5 that requires a monster drive followed by two demanding approach shots.
Getting there : From Dallas take I-35 to Denton and look for the 35 W split. This takes you back towards the south to Fort Worth for 6 miles, where you’ll take the Robson Ranch exit. Drive 1.5 miles west and look for the course.

Course undergoing renovations, etc. Many holes pretty patched up. Otherwise good!

Aeration Alert not enough
The course was aerated, but there are numerous areas under repair that are not labeled. the fairways and greens took a big hit from the freeze this year and have not been repaired or have been scrapped but not re-sodded.
To be fair to golfers they should let you know the course has many areas that are under repair. the only warning is aeration.

Good course, but
The second green is at best " under construction". About 1/3 of the 114 sand traps are nearly unplayable. The course improves as you progress through it. It would be nice if the traps that are a problem, could be labeled under repair so you could get relief.

Very good shape
Staff has done a great job maintaining the course and the impact of the Dallas winter storm/freeze. All-in-all, very good shape. Staff is super friendly.

Tried and True!
I have played this course a number of times and it is always in great shape. Today, I was a little shocked the greens on the North course were less than perfect, but still ran well.

Getting better
I played here a month ago and left an honest review - the course was in bad shape. Robson has been hard at work growing grass and fixing the greens. Not perfect yet, but much much better.
Greens still have some spots and are a little slow, but bunkers, rough, and approaches are all playable and solid. Pace was great today, even with a busy course. Staff was friendly as always. PLayed with a few residents and had a good time.
Time to get back out to Robson, especially if you get a deal on green fees.

Day at the Ranch
Very nice facility and course.. Played South and West courses.
Well maintained and a very good layout with plenty of challenges while being fair.
Clubhouse and restaurants were very nice. Pace of play was ok at 4:15 hours for 18 holes. Could have been better, but not bad.
Will play it again.

Give it a chance to recover
This is normally a great place to play. However, the winter storms and spring weather have damaged the course. Several greens have dead spots. Most green surrounds have been sodded and are unplayable. Fairways are iffy at best. I think it just needs a chance to recover. I was very disappointed - this course was in great shape most of the winter and I enjoy playing here.
I am always fair in my reviews..... stay away for now and try this place when the bermudagrass has had a chance to grow back in.

Course conditions
The course conditions we’re very poor. The tee boxes and around the greens had been shaved down and a dirt/manure spread had been put down. Should alert people about the conditions because I would not have played there. Way to expensive for the conditions.
