About
The Wildhorse Golf Club is the first of three planned courses for the Robson Ranch Community outside of Denton. Designed by architect Gary Stephenson, the course opened the second nine in October 2002.
The signature hole is on the front, a 566-yard par 5 that requires a monster drive followed by two demanding approach shots.
Getting there : From Dallas take I-35 to Denton and look for the 35 W split. This takes you back towards the south to Fort Worth for 6 miles, where you’ll take the Robson Ranch exit. Drive 1.5 miles west and look for the course.

Fun Course
Played for the second time and will definitely be back soon. Course is in great shape although the driving range is closed for a complete renovation it appears. Greens are very smooth and a good. Fairways are green and lush. Fun course that has a good pace of play.

Be aware the range was closed. They are re doing it. Guy in front said hopefully next week they will have something to hit off of. From look I would think end of month.

Great course but Fix the amenities
Overall a great track to play with 27 holes (3 -9 hole courses)
Thw pro shop and starters are always helpful and friendly. However to find someone to help at the turn/window was impossible. Even other people enjoying their lunch on the patio were laughing in amusement at how long I waited and still hadn’t been served(and yes I asked servers and knocked the widow). The range and the chipping green are closed as well for repairs until August.
All in all, the golf is awesome but they do have a few things to improve.

Great Layout
The course is in really good shape overall. The greens were slower than they usually are this time of year…but they were very consistent. They are still recovering from Texas’ coldest winter in years…but every course is to some degree. The staff and members are friendly and make others feel welcome.

Country Club amenities with public price.
I live in another part of the state, but always look at the opportunity to play here because of staff, amenities, etc. would highly recommend playing here. Course was hit hard by winter storm URI and they have done great job of bringing the course back. Will be back for sure when I’m in the area.

Turf issues
Seems a ton of turf is disrupted. Fairways, greens and general conditions are poorer than recent years. Probably due to this winter’s harshness but rates have gone up considerably. Even with a Hot Rate, the course is over valued. Hopefully they will find some balance in their pricing but the traffic today suggest otherwise. I’ll try again next year, as I have better options for the price.

Course undergoing renovations, etc. Many holes pretty patched up. Otherwise good!

Aeration Alert not enough
The course was aerated, but there are numerous areas under repair that are not labeled. the fairways and greens took a big hit from the freeze this year and have not been repaired or have been scrapped but not re-sodded.
To be fair to golfers they should let you know the course has many areas that are under repair. the only warning is aeration.

Good course, but
The second green is at best " under construction". About 1/3 of the 114 sand traps are nearly unplayable. The course improves as you progress through it. It would be nice if the traps that are a problem, could be labeled under repair so you could get relief.

Very good shape
Staff has done a great job maintaining the course and the impact of the Dallas winter storm/freeze. All-in-all, very good shape. Staff is super friendly.
