About
The Wildhorse Golf Club is the first of three planned courses for the Robson Ranch Community outside of Denton. Designed by architect Gary Stephenson, the course opened the second nine in October 2002.
The signature hole is on the front, a 566-yard par 5 that requires a monster drive followed by two demanding approach shots.
Getting there : From Dallas take I-35 to Denton and look for the 35 W split. This takes you back towards the south to Fort Worth for 6 miles, where you’ll take the Robson Ranch exit. Drive 1.5 miles west and look for the course.

Fun and challenging
I’m not a big fan of courses lined with houses but the layout and conditions make up for it. Greens were in superb condition. Best I’ve seen in months and I play all over DFW. Bunkers were perfect; shallow, light sand, predictable. I’m not quite sure it’ll be worth the drive once summer roles around but for winter golf, this place is fantastic
West course is average. Wouldn't go out of my way to play it again.
Course location is a bit far unless you live along I35W corridor. Green fees are a bit steep. Course was in average condition for winter golf.

Course is in mint condition. Third time playing and can't wait to get back out there. I still think the North course is still my favorite.

If you live in the DFW area Robson is worth the drive. For winter golfers, you’ll love the green over-seeded fairways after looking at the dried out brown grass on most courses for the past month. But more than than that, it’s a great track, with fun risk/reward holes.

First time playing north and south 9’s at wildhorse. Course was in great condition, greens were true and quick. Preferred the north course to the south, but both were great nonetheless. Will definitely be back to play here. Worth the trip to Denton!

Very nice course, played at our own pace, never had to wait on anyone and never had anybody hitting into us.

It was very very windy today - made for a difficult round but the course conditions are excellent - greens rolled true and fairways well kept...

Worth a play
Its hard to say anything bad about this place. Its top notch all the way around. Greens were pure and fast and that was even with a little sanding. We played a foursome at noon on a Saturday in just over 4 hours, and that's because WE were the slow group! Clubhouse and grill are classy. I would have expected to pay more for this course We will be back.

Go play this course
If you haven't played here, take a drive to Denton. Consistently good to very good conditions. Today it was wet and raining, but it was still very playable. Bunkers in great shape. Greens have healed completely from aeration. Rolling 10-11 and perfect. North 9 is wide open and fairly easy for the first 7 holes. South 9 is the original 9 and a good test of golf from the tips. West 9 can play like 3 different courses depending on the wind direction. Fun par 5's on each 9.
Bonus - we got pretty wet playing the 10th hole today and asked for a raincheck. No questions asked, we got it.
It may be a drive for some of you, but please make it. You'll be glad you did. Now probably one of the top 5-7 public courses in DFW.
