About
The Wildhorse Golf Club is the first of three planned courses for the Robson Ranch Community outside of Denton. Designed by architect Gary Stephenson, the course opened the second nine in October 2002.
The signature hole is on the front, a 566-yard par 5 that requires a monster drive followed by two demanding approach shots.
Getting there : From Dallas take I-35 to Denton and look for the 35 W split. This takes you back towards the south to Fort Worth for 6 miles, where you’ll take the Robson Ranch exit. Drive 1.5 miles west and look for the course.

The Turn Grill Closes Too Early
The Turn grill which provides quick hot food on the turn closes at 2:00pm. For all golfers who start after 12:00, they have to go inside, place the order where it takes about 15-20 min for a hot dog. by this time, three groups have already passed you. Everything else about the facility was great, staff was friendly, course condition was good.

Overpriced and Average
Had a twosome early on a Wednesday and was charged $85 . . . in February. Couldn't believe it. We would have left, but we were already there and didn't have time to go to another course. EIGHTY FIVE DOLLARS . . . on a Wednesday . . . in February. It's no wonder we had the whole place to ourselves (other than a few of the residents). If their aim is to go private then overcharging non-residents is just the way to do it. I guess they're making up for the expenditure of the new North 9 by gouging the pricing.
It's not Dallas National or Vaquero or any number of much better courses at that price range. Best of luck.

Great Friday afternoon.
Everything about this place is always good. They do have some ground under repair on the North Course, which was my Front 9.. The South course 9 was awesome and have played the west course 9 many times. Wind was strong but that’s no fault of the staff or layout. Staff were friendly and helpful, just never saw a beverage cart, no big deal I always pack some water and snacks. You have to check it out.

Ridiculous Pin Positions & Rude, Indifferent Starters
Starters were incredibly rude and not friendly at all. The pin positions were asinine (e.g. 6-8 tucked pins one to two paces on and the hole cut on a crown/hill). With the greens rolling 11-12, these positions were just dumb and made no sense for a weekend, non competition round for mostly high handicap weekend traffic. I’ve played some tough pin settings (TPC Las Colinas after the Byron) but these were just silly and made zero sense.

Fun and challenging
I’m not a big fan of courses lined with houses but the layout and conditions make up for it. Greens were in superb condition. Best I’ve seen in months and I play all over DFW. Bunkers were perfect; shallow, light sand, predictable. I’m not quite sure it’ll be worth the drive once summer roles around but for winter golf, this place is fantastic

West course is average. Wouldn't go out of my way to play it again.
Course location is a bit far unless you live along I35W corridor. Green fees are a bit steep. Course was in average condition for winter golf.

Go Fore It
If you live in the DFW area Robson is worth the drive. For winter golfers, you’ll love the green over-seeded fairways after looking at the dried out brown grass on most courses for the past month. But more than than that, it’s a great track, with fun risk/reward holes.

First time playing north and south 9’s at wildhorse. Course was in great condition, greens were true and quick. Preferred the north course to the south, but both were great nonetheless. Will definitely be back to play here. Worth the trip to Denton!
