Teal Bend Golf Club
About
Teal Bend Golf Club runs alongside the Sacramento River, enjoying a lush landscape covered in natural wetlands. One of the characteristics the course is known for is its stunning scenery, which works against the challenging layout by being almost too distracting. All of your attention will have to be focused on successfully maneuvering past the mature trees and natural rough areas that sit along the edges of the undulating greens and narrow, winding fairways. Long hitters will enjoy this golf course, which stretches to 7,000 yards from the back tees. There are also some interesting risk/reward holes that will appeal to both low and high handicappers, which is why it is one of Sacramento's most popular public courses. The well maintained driving range is also a popular feature at Teal Bend Golf Club.

Course is very challenging from the tips.
The course was in ok shape but the greens were just aerated and sanded. Wish we would've known but not talking to live person and golf course not letting golfnow.com know was a downer!
No aerification alert
Bought the deal and was excited to play, until I find out that all the greens had a layer of sand on them. It was an awful experience. There was no aerification alert on golfnow, I deserve my money back.
Beautiful setting, many different holes, big greens
Course in good shape overall, some holes very mushy, greens great, nice mix of long and short holes. Tight on about a third of the holes. Was a little pricey, for what u got 65, thought closer to 55. Will be back but with a deal or coupon.
awesome greens... lush course
The course was in great condition. The greens were perfect. Green fees, including a cart, were only 30 bucks... No brainer...
Good layout with some challenging holes. Big, undulating greens
Good layout with some challenging holes. There was a lot of room in the fairways, but when you got up to the green there was little room for error. I was not particularly fond of the greens...they were big, undulating and looked much faster than they putted. I had difficulty getting putts to stay on line and I was fooled several times by the breaks.
Remains one of my favorite local courses
Teal Bend has been a favorite since I started playing it when it opened. This time of year, the fairways are a bit brown just due to the dormant seed, but the course always drains well so you don't get plugged balls. And the greens are always in good shape - great speed and contours. If I had Any criticism, its that they don't offer enough tee times on GolfNow.com. There are so many good courses I can play for $20-$30, I don't play at Teal as often for $40 or $50.
Winter golfing Paradise!!
I played on Saturday 12/15 after nine holes quit due to heavy rain...there were still golfers on the course as if "no big deal" got a "rain check" couldn't believe 90 degree rule in effect. It rained heavy all day 12/16 and lite on 12/17...rebooked 12/18 two hours thirty min drive.... AMAZED..bunkers were raked, fluffy sand, not washed out. Tee ball rolled in fairway, not plugging....Greens were still fast, and true. I think I cleaned mud off my ball twice the whole day....Played the ball down, didn't need to bump__Both GolfNow and the Staff in the Pro Shop were very understanding in wanting me to have an enjoyable round of golf, in granting the "rain check" ___I told my playing partner, I could play that course 365 days a year, and never get bored. It's a different course from each tee box___To top off a fantastic round of golf, the twosome that we joined, besides great personalities, were members at Granite Bay__Yep, got an invite to play it too-
Nice course...
Since they've completed the leeve repairs and changed the holes, the course has taken on a new feel for the front nine. Greens were in great shape for this time of year -- actually the whole course was in good shape. If you are looking for a change from the local course, this is a good one. Pace of play is an issue though as there aren't any Marshall's on the course to keep up pace of play....we got behind some "Sunday" golfers and it was a 51/2 hr round. Hit'm straight or your in the hazard and if you can't see the whole -- there IS hazard between your ball and the pin. Good luck!
great variety of holes , beautiful greens
One of my favorite courses ! always in great shape!
The greens were very smooth and very fast - really tests your putting touch!!!
Very new - my 2nd yr & 69 yrs old LOL - 5th course ever - terrific fairways - greens super fast - needed real touch on putting - Staff very friendly & professional - Now I just need to bring my wife along as she got me into this mess !!!! and - yep I love every minute of it - If there was a down side - Wish I had or could have scheduled an earlier tee time - but overall a fantastic experience!!!
One of the most beautiful courses in the Sacramento Valley.
Even tho Teal is neighbors with the Sac Airport, the grounds are surrounded by trees and the course is beautiful so you feel like you are somewhere other than the hot parched valley. The course is very demanding and challenging for a female with a 33 handicap, but I love playing it. The facilities are clean and well maintained. The golf carts are adequate, but nothing special. The club house is reallly nice with good food and drinks.
Excellent fairways, greens and service!
Very friendly employees and 1st class service! Beautiful course! We loved it but due to where the course is located you never get a breeze so make sure it's cool weather when you play. Also, since it's close to the river you are better off not looking for your ball because there's a lot of snakes. The other wildlife is great to listen to and look at! Plus the starter makes sure every group starts after the 1st group is off the green so everyone doesn't get backed up! It's the 1st course I've been to that has done that! I love it because it takes the pressure off and you can enjoy your round and play better.
Greens just aerated and sanded.
The choise to play the course was due to the price. There was no mention that the price was lowered because the greens had just been aerated and sanded. Very disappointed because the rest of the course was in very good condition.
Good Course
Teal Bend is one of my favorites around the Sacramento, CA area but is somewhat overpriced unless you golf the twilight rate. The only negative thing to say about thecourse is that they do not have a ranger on the course to keep the pace of play up and does seem to get behind on the back nine.
Favorite Sac Course
For the money it is tough to beat this public tract. Course is very well maintained and never too busy. Or at the the layout makes it feel not very busy. Beautiful setting along the Sacramento River which helps keep it cooler even on hot days. My favorite public course to play in Sacramento hands down!
Love the location of Teal Bend
My foursome had a great time and enjoyed playing your course. Looking forward to playing it again soon.
I just want to mention the food we had was outstanding.
Thanks
