About
The Trails of Frisco golf course is one of Jeff Brauer’s most unique designs -- primarily because it doesn’t fit the mold of his other courses. Brauer, who’s known for his open, straight-forward courses, designed this one to tip out to a par 71, 6,900 yards, loaded it with hidden creeks, scenic wetlands, extensive bunkering, and massive greens. In fact, first-timers will be confused here. They’ll face intimidating views off the tee that leave doubt as to the problems that loom ahead, and it is definitely possible to lose all of your balls off the tee if you’re struggling.
The golf course is just flat-out challenging, especially on the front nine. No. 1 opens up with a creek on the left that cuts in front of the green and generally makes its presence known on every shot. The play here is to stay right and stay away from its subtle presence on the left side. The creek comes into play on Nos. 2, 4, 5, and even No. 9, where it chutes from the fairway in front of the green and surrounds the green of this challenging par 4.
All told, water and waste areas are in play on 16 of 18 holes (including every par 3), and the creeks are enhanced by visible lakes and ponds on the back side, even though it is considered a bit easier than the front.

Good course, Tee boxes were awful
Couldnt find a flat spot on a tee box all day. They need to be redone, badly. Greens were really fast but decent condition.
Staff was friendly, course has a good layout and decent range.
Run down and slow
Poorly managed/ownership. This place needs a facelift and better course management. From pace to play, club house and overall condition.
Not a bad Track
This was my second time to play this course. I find it to be very accessible and fun to play. there are a couple of VERY challenging holes and overall a nice layout. The greens were in great shape. If you are looking for an inexpensive and enjoyable track, this is probably one of the best around. If the wind is howling (@ 35MPH like it was on Saturday), make sure to get all your birdies on the first 5 holes of the front, because Mother Nature will take them away coming back to the clubhouse.
Need some more grass on tee boxes, but otherwise good to go.
Need better starter
They let several groups of 1’s and 2’s go off which slowed things down quite a bit. Course is in decent shape considering the weather lately.
5/10 course rating
Proshop guy was outstanding. He accommodated our big group and was one of the coolest Proshop guys I’ve dealt with. Greens were good but fairways and tee boxes were very dry. I get we’re in a drout but at least water the tees. Overall the course manageable. 5/10.
Good price, poor condition
The greens were in good condition but the rest of the course left a lot to be desired. Doesn't look like the irrigation has been run in a month as there were significant settlement cracks all throughout the course, even on fairways. Super hard and unplayable traps in a lot of areas.
Tee times were overbooked and we were already waiting behind a group on hole 1. Made for a very long round of golf.

Great Course
This course is very nice. Lots of hazards for a beginner like me. The course conditions are great. This is a course I plan on playing many more times.
Great course and in great shape
This was first time playing and will be back. Fairly open course but you hit a variety of shots from long to short. Greens were a little grainy but held and putted well.
