About
The Arthur Hills/Mike Dasher-designed Sienna Plantation is a flat, wooded course that has been enhanced to provide elevation changes. The result is a challenging track that rolls between lakes, creeks, and the native hardwoods that dominate the landscape.
In terms of playability, you'll primarily notice the abundance of risk-reward decisions that are required throughout the round on this course, which tips out at 7,151 yards.
Out of the chute you'll be challenged immediately-the opening two holes play as a 427-yard par 4 and a 601-yard par 5. It lightens up a bit on holes 3-4 with a reasonably short par 3 and a short par 4, but holes 5-8 can blow your score up quickly if you're not on your game. No. 6 is a monster 251-yard par 3 sandwiched between two 450-yard par 4s.
On the back it's more of the same, with the nine opening with four 400-yard plus par 4s. Both par 3s are over 200 yards, and the par 5s are each well over 500 yards. The only real birdie opportunity for the average handicapper is the 320-yard No. 16.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 59 south to the Williams Trace exit. Turn left on Williams Trace to Hwy. 6. Turn left and drive 5.5 miles to the Sienna Plantation main entrance. Turn right and follow the signs to the Information Center.

Great value for the money
A little crowded but not really super slow, the only negative is that the tee boxes were as hard as concrete, need to be watered, otherwise a great day of golf.
BRING YOUR DRILL BIT
Tee boxes and fairways were hard as a rock. I broke at least a half dozen tees just trying to get them in the ground. Greens are playable but marginal at best. The layout of the course is great and there are some really fun holes if you can get past the lack of maintenance investment being put into the course.
Friendly staffs. Cart was so filthy, green were good but slow. Kept whole course good.

Course was rock hard

Overall Experience
The course has a nice lay-out. The greens were not well kept.
The staff in the kitchen were upset with us because they wanted to leave early, and they felt like paying customers were holding them up.

Not worth it
Course is not well kept, greens are in bad shape. Overall not the best value.

Great Course
This is one of my favorite go-to public golf courses. Even though it’s a 20-30 minute drive from Houston it is well worth the drive. The staff is friendly and the course layout is fun and challenging. We were stuck behind a 3-some who were pretty slow but that comes with the territory. Overall great course and great value
No brakes
Course and staff were great. The driving range was like hitting off concrete. No grass, just hard dirt. But the 2 carts we rented had no parking breaks that worked and 1 one of them had a gas peddle that only worked after 3-4 gentle tries. We exchanged at the turn and our replacements operated just fine, especially the brakes.
