Sienna Plantation Golf Club

I hear they punched the greens three weeks ago. I only saw evidence on a few greens of aerification holes. Greens are not excellent but far from poor. A couple spots were under repair but playable. Greens Held shots and solid gap wedges backed up. Excellent layout with a fair amount of undulations and tiers in fairways. Greens are moderate to large with ridges and tiers for varied pin placements. Good grass in fairways. Some tee boxes are hard. The course needs some TLC and close attention from the greens keeper. Kinda a Diamond in the rough. Would be a gem in the right hands. Would definitely play again.

Course was decent condition. Fairways had been shaved a little too much and the heat caused some bald spots. Greens were recently punched but in ok shape. Pace of play was slow for a Tuesday morning.

The course is in rough shape from top to bottom.

Rough is overgrown and infested with weeds (watch for snakes if not on fairway). Greens are in abysmal shape...take some time to remove all the loose impediments from your line & fix old divots that have now become a permanent green feature. No marshall on course. Sand traps are washed out. Find you a cart with a working parking brake..took me 4 carts to get one that worked. & To be honest...i'd pass on playing at Sienna right now. The course condition does not align with the greens fee.

Played as a twosome with my brother and had no one in front or behind us until #15, which was a pleasant surprise. However, the greens were recently punched and sanded so that probably explains the lack of patrons on a Sunday. Overall, course was still very playable, and I plan to return in a few weeks once the greens recover.

The course should let the golfer know the greens are sanded so we can make a decision if we want to play on those condition.

GolfNow should have told me about the course situation. When I checked in, front desk told me that GolfNow must have told you about the course situation but I was never told by GolfNow nor I got any email from them about the same

Couldn't get a Tee in the ground, or divot in the fairway. The ground so hard it hurt to hit iron shots.

The course was in decent shape, but the pace of play way so bad :( Our time was in the morning, and they were already 20 minutes behind. There were three groups on the number one tee box, and the pace of play was over five (5) hours. It would be nice if there was a marshal on the course to help the pace.

Greens starting to recover, much better than last time I was here but still a ways to go. Fairways were ok in some areas but lots or weeds and damaged areas. Tee boxes also pretty rough. $59 a little high for present condition in my opinion.

Played the course several times now. It's a nice layout and great value. Course condition is average and greens are slow with some weeds growing around fringe. But for mid to high handicap players presents some interesting holes and challenge.

Almost Perfect, greens were not slow, not fast fairways outstanding scoring well, 1 over on the front 9 but 9 over on the back, very hot and humid. I am 70 and my bud is 66 and we ran out of gas on the back. Going back this weekend

I do like the Sienna course and the layout. Historically it has been a good course to play. It just needs some work. Not sure what is going on with the sprinkler system but its obviously not working in large sections of the course. Tee boxes just about devoid of grass and large cracking clays around many of the greens. The greens have seen some improvement but when the crew is watering half the holes by hand when you come up on them it becomes challenging to putt. And please fix the cart paths. Someone is going to get hurt. Just a little bit of TLC and the course would be great.
