Sienna Plantation Golf Club
About
The Arthur Hills/Mike Dasher-designed Sienna Plantation is a flat, wooded course that has been enhanced to provide elevation changes. The result is a challenging track that rolls between lakes, creeks, and the native hardwoods that dominate the landscape.
In terms of playability, you'll primarily notice the abundance of risk-reward decisions that are required throughout the round on this course, which tips out at 7,151 yards.
Out of the chute you'll be challenged immediately-the opening two holes play as a 427-yard par 4 and a 601-yard par 5. It lightens up a bit on holes 3-4 with a reasonably short par 3 and a short par 4, but holes 5-8 can blow your score up quickly if you're not on your game. No. 6 is a monster 251-yard par 3 sandwiched between two 450-yard par 4s.
On the back it's more of the same, with the nine opening with four 400-yard plus par 4s. Both par 3s are over 200 yards, and the par 5s are each well over 500 yards. The only real birdie opportunity for the average handicapper is the 320-yard No. 16.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 59 south to the Williams Trace exit. Turn left on Williams Trace to Hwy. 6. Turn left and drive 5.5 miles to the Sienna Plantation main entrance. Turn right and follow the signs to the Information Center.

The Man
Course was better than the last time I played, but there is really no grass in the fairways. They will not let the grass get a little longer.. Greatwood which is operated by the same family is in much better shape.

No service
They did not allow us to bring our iwn water and it toik 8 holes before cart lady was out. Service sucks, I am ok paying the cart girl. But they didn’t give me a chance. Will not return
Hi, thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for the poor experience you had during your visit. Your feedback about water on the course is important to us. We will continue to work to develop the best way to provide our guest with refreshments. Thank you for playing Sienna Plantation.
Nice for the money
Good layout, lots of water. Fairways are in good shape but could use a touch more water...very few bald spots. Greens are fast...some had been sanded but still rolled true...it wouldn't take much to tune up the course to great... over all value very good.
course in horrible condition
Fairways were cracked and dry. Ants were everywhere and less than a third of the greens were above average. For the money, it is overpriced.

Great course, but....
Overall this was a great course and experience.
The course was a challenge and it was in great condition.
A few items were a little inconvenient:
1. On the first par 3, the green was being watered at 9am on a Friday....therefore it was essentially unplayable.
2. Our parking brake on the cart would not engage...not a big deal just annoying.
3. No beverage cart on the course. Again, not the end of the world but for a course this nice was a bit of an inconvenience especially when they have signage if absolutely no outside food or drink.
Bugs were horrible
I’m usually outside with tennis and golf. Could not concentrate due to the nets and mosquitoes. I did have spray. This is the closest course to me. Will not go back until weather is colder and run them off.
Would recommend with caution of nets.
Thank you for your review, u696687831. We will pass along your positive experience to our team at Sienna Plantation Golf Club. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Terrible conditions
Overall conditions are terrible. Tee boxes are rock hard, dried out and can barely stick tees into the ground. Fairways are dry and lots of crab grass. Greens are slow & bumpy. Course layout is great, but they need to do a better job of maintaining the greens & fairways.

Local course
This is a golf course with nice layout. Can be a bit pricey sometimes and not always in best shape but recently course is looking good.

The course is well designed.
Very satisfied with the course and the par of play.
Golf Nut
I play this course at least once a month because I leave in the area, but I am not a member. The course has a great lay out, but the Lopez family that operates the course basically knows how to cut the grass. The greens are always in mediocre shape and they cut the grass so short there is no grass in the fairways. There sprinklers around the green leak, so it is like walking through a swap just to get to the green.
If you can get a deal on Golf Now for under $50 it probably is worth it.
If you don’t mind links golf, Clear Lake Golf Course is a better value for you money. The greens were in great shape.
