Sienna Plantation Golf Club
About
The Arthur Hills/Mike Dasher-designed Sienna Plantation is a flat, wooded course that has been enhanced to provide elevation changes. The result is a challenging track that rolls between lakes, creeks, and the native hardwoods that dominate the landscape.
In terms of playability, you'll primarily notice the abundance of risk-reward decisions that are required throughout the round on this course, which tips out at 7,151 yards.
Out of the chute you'll be challenged immediately-the opening two holes play as a 427-yard par 4 and a 601-yard par 5. It lightens up a bit on holes 3-4 with a reasonably short par 3 and a short par 4, but holes 5-8 can blow your score up quickly if you're not on your game. No. 6 is a monster 251-yard par 3 sandwiched between two 450-yard par 4s.
On the back it's more of the same, with the nine opening with four 400-yard plus par 4s. Both par 3s are over 200 yards, and the par 5s are each well over 500 yards. The only real birdie opportunity for the average handicapper is the 320-yard No. 16.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 59 south to the Williams Trace exit. Turn left on Williams Trace to Hwy. 6. Turn left and drive 5.5 miles to the Sienna Plantation main entrance. Turn right and follow the signs to the Information Center.

They’ve completely lost this golf course
If I could go less than 1 Star here I would.
For starters - this review is solely on the course conditions.
First things first, they’re charging $48 to play this golf course. As an avid player for 20+ years it’s possibly the biggest ripoff for what you get value wise. This course is barely worth the cart fee of $20 & change. How they’re actually charging $48 is criminal.
Multiples times I saw players (in my group, and other groups) having to take both hands, squatting down and pushing with all their efforts just to get a tee into the ground on the tee boxes...but okay it’s just the tee boxes...rest of the course is okay...right?? Wrong.
Fairways = comparable to the hardwood floors in your kitchen.
Greens = there was at least 6-7 greens I’d categorize as unputtable. Frankly, I think they’ve totally lost the greens and they’re months away from being months away from having acceptable greens. Bumpier than any greens I’ve ever seen, large chunks of turf plugged into random spots, large areas of no growth at all....bumpy...actually your ball could take bounces and be misdirected at anytime once it’s rolled.
All in all I give this an honest, faithful 0/5 stars. They did nothing to spite me, staff all seemed fine , they were all working very hard/diligently to get carts when they were high in demand, very friendly starter on the first tee....but man was this golf course a total disaster condition wise. There’s other options locally that charge the same fee that are WORLDS better than this place. What a shame it was to see this course regress to the condition I saw it in yesterday.
Sandy Greens
Sienna is an awesome golf course. The greens are usually very good. This round, most of the greens were sandy and very slow. This must be a transition time of year. Otherwise, the conditions were great as usual.
Great courses
Great Course! Nice layout! Needs a little water to soften it up a little
Sienna Golf Course
The course is fun and has some difficulty on some of the par 4's. I like to layout but wasn't too happy about the Greens. Very rough! The fairways are nice and the staff is very nice. I would recommend fixing the greens and some of the bunkers need to be cleaned up, grass is growing in some of the bunkers. Over the price is right and it truly is a fun course to play.

Thank you for playing Sienna Plantation Golf Club. We hope to see you again soon.
Single rider not required
First course I been to that allow two to a cart that are not in same household. Cost $15 extra if you want to ride alone if you don’t want to ride with someone else.
Not playing unless with someone in my household.
Course in ok shape. Fairway good and hard. First time I reach the hazard on 18!!! 265 plus drive.
Greens are sand,y, patchy, bumpy and very inconsistent speed but still puttable.
Good layout, just wish conditions were better.
Add $15 if you want to play safe golf!!!!!

Don’t Bring Your Putter
Played this morning 4/21/20 at 740a.
No rain the day before but the greens and areas surrounding it were just akin to a swines mud bath. Only positive was the relatively in shape fairways and quick pace Of play. You have to pay an extra $15 cart if you’re riding solo- despite golf now saying cart included. So beware. Was encouraged to ride with another despite corona virus
Hi, we appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. Please know that we are going to pass on your feedback to the teams in charge so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting Sienna Plantation Golf Club. We hope to see you again in the future.
Course in terrible condition
THe fairways and greens are in terrible shape. For the money that the charging the course is not worth it. I live less than a mile from the course but I will travel to other courses that are better maintained. The price does not match the quality of the course.

Course full
Quailvalley is closed and Sienna is busy!!!
Course is good shape except for the greens are rough and patchy.
Unlike most courses that are opened, Sienna allows two riders that are not family in the same cart. Please confirm if this is the case before getting tee time.
Stay safe and please follow the separation rules.
Great Layout, Terrible Greens
The greens were in such bad shape, it was hard to appreciate this golf course.

Succers
During the Corona Virus month of March and April 2020 - All golf courses Each rider should be in 1 cart.
We made tee time for 2 players including carts and paid on Golfnow.com.
When we check in at the pro shop they want to charge us for an extra $7 for as an extra riding cart, even though it was included for 2 riders n the Golfnow payment Reservation. So Beware !!!!
The Greens were absolutely HORRIBLE

Sienna still has bite
One of the best overall course layouts in Texas. Extremely challenging but fair and will test every aspect of your game. True risk reward opportunities abound. Only downer overall was green speed slower than usual and putting, which is already a major challenge due to green undulations, became almost unreasonable. Overall, based on the golf now price ... this course is a “thrill ride” and I would play it again right now!
The Slow Day
4 some in front very slow but so was the 4 some in front of them: ended up a 5 hour round.....probably what I deserve playing on a Friday!
Course still in decent shape.....do not have the caterpillars like some courses!
Will be better
First,Love the layout and enjoy just coming out to play.
Condition not great now but very playable. Greens not in good shape- spotty and areas without grass and bumpy. Should be better about a month. Sand traps good but no rakes ???? Fairways are good.
It a good course, just give it a little time.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give Sienna Plantation Golf Club another try in the near future.
Sienna
Course in excellent condition!
