Sienna Plantation Golf Club
About
The Arthur Hills/Mike Dasher-designed Sienna Plantation is a flat, wooded course that has been enhanced to provide elevation changes. The result is a challenging track that rolls between lakes, creeks, and the native hardwoods that dominate the landscape.
In terms of playability, you'll primarily notice the abundance of risk-reward decisions that are required throughout the round on this course, which tips out at 7,151 yards.
Out of the chute you'll be challenged immediately-the opening two holes play as a 427-yard par 4 and a 601-yard par 5. It lightens up a bit on holes 3-4 with a reasonably short par 3 and a short par 4, but holes 5-8 can blow your score up quickly if you're not on your game. No. 6 is a monster 251-yard par 3 sandwiched between two 450-yard par 4s.
On the back it's more of the same, with the nine opening with four 400-yard plus par 4s. Both par 3s are over 200 yards, and the par 5s are each well over 500 yards. The only real birdie opportunity for the average handicapper is the 320-yard No. 16.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 59 south to the Williams Trace exit. Turn left on Williams Trace to Hwy. 6. Turn left and drive 5.5 miles to the Sienna Plantation main entrance. Turn right and follow the signs to the Information Center.

Needs a traffic guard
The course is laid out within a housing community that takes you across residential streets to get to the next hole. There are no signs to point out where you should turn and you are left guessing where is the next tee box. I teed off on #10 with starters permission (there were 5somes ahead playing skins) and ended up on #2 tee as my second hole because there was no signs to point out where the next hole was. By the time I figured this out, it was too confusing to turn back and start again. And I ended up behind the 5somes anyways.
Awesome
GREAT value, great course! Only bad thing that I can say is that the greens were too firm, no shot will hold no matter how much spin you have. Otherwise five stars across the board. Can't wait to play there again.
Great challenging course
Great hole layout, lots of fun. I'll be back for sure.

Really enjoyed my round! It was the best I've played in a long time. Ended up posting a 79!! I even had a witness to vouch for my score. Course was in good shape and the greens rolled very nice!!
Very Good Shap
Found the course to be in great shape...much improved over last summer, when I played last. Golf carts need some work - we had to swap out after 8 holes. Will definitely play again.
Good Layout
I have played the course a few times over the last ten years. The course condition is not bad for January although the greens are rock hard. They rolled fairly well with some turf imperfections however. Just wish people would sand their divots and follow the 90 degree rule instead of driving the fairways and compacting the soil. Played in under three hours...
Course was in great condition for January. From tee box to green was very nice. Greens rolled really good. Was a fun course, bit challenging at times, with a few easier one sprinkled in. Would play again.
Terrific course!
Excellent conditions for this time of year. Course has a great variety of holes, many of which are memorable. Our foursome had a wonderful time.
Sienna Plantation is VERY GOOD to play!
This course is in excellent shape for November, greens are very fast and undulating, design is interesting to play.
Great golf experience, as per the norm at Sienna.
I love this golf course. There are a lot of one-of-a-kind golf holes and that keeps your mind focused on the business at hand.
Very nice round of golf
The course is mostly in excellent conditions, except about 2 holes that have been watered in excess.
Great location, friendly staff, easy to book, reasonable prices.
I recommend it.
Good Value
Course was in great condition. Greens were firm and fast. Staff was friendly. I was part of a twosome behind a foursome, so pace of play was a little slow, but not unbearable. Would recommend this course to anyone.
hope to be back
nice course, good pace of play, hope to return!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Day
Sand top dressing, otherwise good day.
Beautiful course with great layout
The course layout is great and challenging with lots of troubles. There are spots on the course that need some tender loving care, a couple of greens are not in good shape. Overall it's still a good value for the discounted rate.
This course has great layout features that you don't find on 95% of the courses around Houston .
Course is challenging with not many water hazards. The course was a pleasure to play. The clubhouse retaurant serve some pretty tasty dishes unlike many other golf course clubhouses.
Meh
I booked as a hot deal on Golfnow and upon arrival was charged an extra $20 as a "spectator fee" for my own cart, as they had assigned me to a foursome. The course was just okay. It was well kept but uninspiring. No desire to play here again. Rain prevented me from playing the back 9, so perhaps it is better.
