Sienna Plantation Golf Club
About
The Arthur Hills/Mike Dasher-designed Sienna Plantation is a flat, wooded course that has been enhanced to provide elevation changes. The result is a challenging track that rolls between lakes, creeks, and the native hardwoods that dominate the landscape.
In terms of playability, you'll primarily notice the abundance of risk-reward decisions that are required throughout the round on this course, which tips out at 7,151 yards.
Out of the chute you'll be challenged immediately-the opening two holes play as a 427-yard par 4 and a 601-yard par 5. It lightens up a bit on holes 3-4 with a reasonably short par 3 and a short par 4, but holes 5-8 can blow your score up quickly if you're not on your game. No. 6 is a monster 251-yard par 3 sandwiched between two 450-yard par 4s.
On the back it's more of the same, with the nine opening with four 400-yard plus par 4s. Both par 3s are over 200 yards, and the par 5s are each well over 500 yards. The only real birdie opportunity for the average handicapper is the 320-yard No. 16.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 59 south to the Williams Trace exit. Turn left on Williams Trace to Hwy. 6. Turn left and drive 5.5 miles to the Sienna Plantation main entrance. Turn right and follow the signs to the Information Center.

Hopeful
This is a good course, good shape conditions especially after the hurricane. Except for still some tree debris needing attention. Another set of tees for seniors would be nice. Very disappointed with services or lack of. Never saw a beverage cart and water coolers we’re empty later after noon.
Slowest pace of play ever!
Took over 3 hours to play 9 holes. Course was either overcooked or not monitored for pace of play in the morning . Had a 10:38 tee time and finally teed off around 11am. Took approximately 20 minutes per hole. Absolutely ridiculous and left after 9 but paid for 18. Very disappointing and will make me think twice about playing this course again.
Slowest play Ever
Took 3 hrs to play nine holes. Extremely backed up and very disappointing. Left after 9 but paid for 18. Guess they can make some money that way.
Hello, perrydon. Thank you for leaving us a review. We are sorry to hear your experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you will give us another try in the future. Thank you for choosing Sienna Plantation Golf Club.
Mosquitoes and decent golf
Overall I enjoyed the course for the price I paid; I’m a 7 handicap, shot 82 from the back. The course really makes you shape shots and think. Good value if you get the cheap weekday price ($30). The greens rolled very well and were cut nice, despite the few spots of disease which didn’t affect me. Tee boxes are not great. Fairways are immaculate. Rough could use work.LOTS OF MOSQUITOES if you’re near the trees/water

First round
It was the first time I have ever played here. Was a good overall experience, especially for the price. The layout was very cool, they had a lot of hazards/traps right where you would hit it. This made the round very fun and always had me on my toes. Definitely would recommend with the condition it has.
Nice Course.
This course was nice to play. Can be confusing going from one hole to the next as the signage is not the best, but pace of play was great, as were the employees we encountered.
Great Course
Moved to Houston in February. Have played this course 3 times now. It is my favorite course and the staff is so friendly.
Would Be Great Without the Gnats
A basic principle in life is that you get what you pay for. Sienna is a cheaper course, and with that comes the expectation that there might be certain issues. The gnats are definitely an issue. They're everywhere and they are climbing/flying around constantly while you try to play. That being said, the course is always a treat to play otherwise, and I definitely will keep coming back. Could be much better if the gnats were dealt with.
Bugs
Right now if you like to eat Nats it is all there for you buzzing the ears and nose. The coarse isin good condition and great to play
Greens are still in process
Fairways are ok, many greens are not good.
But playable.

Enjoyed the Course
I enjoyed the course. There were definitely challenging holes. It does need some maintenance but overall it didn't affect our play much.
Greens should be disclosed
Paying a premium for over sanded inconsistent greens is my only real complaint. But at the level of golfer this club draws, it should be disclosed
