Hill Country Golf Club - Creeks/Oaks
About
The Creeks Nine is one of three courses at the Hill Country Golf Club. Named after the creeks that meander through the layout, this course demands accuracy with water coming into play on several holes and numerous strategically placed bunkers. There are also wooded ravines and a variety of elevation changes to keep golfers on their toes. The Oaks Nine is named for the towering oaks that blanket the course. The courses are situated on over 200 acres of scenic Texas Hill Country, giving them each a beautiful landscape of rolling hills and lush meadows dotted with native oak trees and clear blue lakes. Hill Country Golf Club is also home to a driving range and putting green on addition to the three nines.

Creek Course #9 Photo submitted by GreerGolf on 06/06/2017
MUST hit fairways
Sometimes you got to leave the driver in the bag. If you do not hit fairways, you are dropping. Loved the course and the staff was as helpful and friendly as I have ever seen. Highly recommend.
Beautiful, well-maintained course
Course was in pristine conditions, with perfect fairways, and fast, smooth greens. Course played sloowww on back 9, which was frustrating, but sometimes unavoidable. Rack rate is pretty absurd, but for $60 here, well worth it!!
Nice fairways, too many blind tee shots, and greens weren't that great
Greens weren't in great shape and the driving range was sub par.. The fairways were immaculate and your tee shots rolled forever.. I normally drive the ball around 290 and every tee shot was around 320-330..
Unless you get a deal on Golf Now it's way over priced!
Range is wired, you hit into he first fairway. Tee boxes and fairways are nice. Greens are unpredictable and could use some upkeep for what they want. The GPS systems are cool and the staff was very nice to me. But for $90 something during the week and over a $100 on the weekend.....No Way
Nice resort course
Got a great deal! Nice challenging track. Good conditions. Keep it in the fairway!
COURSE WAS IN GREAT SHAPE
GREAT GREENS, LAYOUT, STAFF WAS SUPER, FOOD WAS GREAT, COURSE LAYOUT TIGHT BUT FAIR, WELL MAINTAINED
Great course, challenging but fun. Little to no traffic. Excellent course conditions.
My favorite course in SA. Course is in excellent conditions. They have 3 sets of 9 holes so you can play at a good pace with no little to no traffic.
Wonderful course layout - - Different challenges based upon the 9 you play.
We played the Oaks and Lake courses. Very much different layouts. Lake course can be very challenging. Very tight lies as grass in this area doesn't appears to grow that well (even in the spring). The greens are average at best but run true. The sand in the traps needs work. These are lovely courses and worth playing. Overall a strong B rating from me.
Hyatt
The course has a very nice layout but has a lot of very tight lies on the fairways. They are starting to restrict carts on some of the areas that should help. Overall a good test of your golf skills.
Great Resort Course
Very enjoyable course that challenges your game. With three 9 hole layouts, you will not be disappointed with any combination.
All staff members were very professional and polite.
Hill Country Great Resort
Hill Country Golf Club has the best staff. More then enough staff to take care of your needs.. Very friendly and helpful. Pretty much open fairways and the Greens are challenging.. Soft, yet pretty fast. Course is in nice condition..
Great landscape
Being an average player, I found this course to be pretty difficult but very fun. The lazy river was a great way to cool after my afternoon round.
course is in dry condition
course is in drier condition, compared to previous years. Sand Traps, while are raked, need to be replenished with new sand and raked better to remove debris.
Great staff, very professional
Nice layout, condition was good for March. At golf now rate a good value.
Overall great value on hot deals .
3 - 9 holes courses that offer varying difficulties. I was allowed to play but told not to wear blue jeans when I had played 3 other times wearing jeans and no one said anything. Overall great experiences . They allowed ample time for warm-up on the range .
Good price for a fair course.
Played course February 21. Course was in decent shape, greens were fair - some had some bare spots. Fun course to play though with mix of solid golf holes, strategic par 4's, wide fairways. Pace of play was good. Beverage cart service but no restaurant open for an after round beer/drink which seemed very odd for a Hyatt Hotel of all places.
Resort is under construction
The Hyatt Resort is under construction. This affects some of the holes on the golf course, for example, the 1st hole on the Oaks is narrowed by a construction fence on the left side. Some of the fairway lies were so tight it was like hitting off a cart path. Some fairways slope into hazards. Some greens are undulating to extremes...on the wrong level and a 2-putt is almost impossible.
Excellent experience!
Excellent course with a great staff! I have played this course a number of times and have to say that every time I go back, it gets better. The course is in great condition and provides a great golfing experience. Because the course is located at a resort, you need to be aware that the pace-of-play might be a little slow at times. However, the marshal is always trying to things moving. Again, excellent experience!
Great course
I love this course. Always try to play it when I am in San Antonio. Always in great shape. Many unique hole layouts, some quite challenging, but not overly tough.
