Disappointed
Great layout. Average maintenance. But the absolute worst people to deal with. Don’t ever expect to finish at twilight hours.
Just a thought….
If you want to work at a golf course, but unwilling to stay at work until the sun sets… GET A GRIP.

Disappointed
Based on reviews and write ups I was looking forward to playing this course. However, the pace of play, constant reminders of pace, and gps control of the carts, will make this my first and last trip. I do not blame the players. For the price, groups should e spread out more and NOT rushed. Basically they are booking the tee times way to close with no room for error. I average a 87 so I am not an expert but also can hold my own. In addition, there are many courses in just as good of shape or better for less. I do not recommend.
Sorry you were disappointed. We space our tee times out every 10 minutes. Most all courses are less. We also take our pace of play seriously for the enjoyment of all guests.
Great layout but very slow pace
I was very impressed with the overall layout of the course, very holes stacked on top of each other. The main complaints I had were the greens were beat up with ball marks and slower than the starters indicated. The pace was very slow, nearly 5 hours on a Friday afternoon with no rangers in sight. I would recommend considering that when booking the tee time.
Hello. Sorry your experience didn't meet your expectations. It was definitely packed that afternoon and it does appear your group finished in 4:45 which is 25 minutes slower than our goal on a busy Friday. We definitely had marshals on the course. Often, they're hard to notice as we send them in regular golf carts on some days. We also monitor heavily from the golf shop on our GPS screen and we are able to hit slow areas immediately. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Disappointed by the conditions of most of the greens (divots, dead spots) which was rather slow for being known as one of the fastest greens in the area.

Great course, fair pace of play
This is one of the best courses in northern Illinois if not the entire state. It is very well maintained. Greens are very true and the starter will asset you in selecting appropriate tees for your ability.
We faced every kind of weather today (7/23/2021) including a rain delay and incredible humidity. The refreshment cart came around frequently and was well stocked - takes cash and plastic.
The entire staff is friendly and helpful. And they are fully staffed despite post-pandemic labor shortages. There were beverage cart operators, attendants at the bag drop to get your clubs on and off the cart and get your clubs cleaned. Food service is excellent and available through the cart digital access. The carts are plush and comfortable. There are rain covers for your clubs, a ball and club washer on board. Other amenities include an excellent practice facility and a beautiful clubhouse.
My only complaint is that the rangers are unable to maintain pace of play. Although they are authorized to make groups move up a hole if they lag terribly, they generally don't do this and at times you can face a near five hour round.

Played on Saturday morning, which i don’t normally do due to slower pace. Not here. The pace was excellent and we finished a few minutes under 4 hours and never caught up or were pushed along the whole round. The course is long, fair , and offers a nice variety of hole layouts. The course is in nice shape as are the greens. Nothing g i appreciate more then a good range, short game area and putting facility to ready up for a good challenge. BYW, i played two weeks in a row.

Destination Kohler - Champions' Trail Golf Package
Sorry Doyle. You paid for 9 holes and drove right by the golf shop to play the front nine again. We do monitor our groups on the course, and are here till dark regardless. Sorry if you had a bad experience. Our twilight rate is for 18 Holes. See you soon.
