Stonewall Orchard Golf Club

i've played here over 20 times this year. each time has been perfectly smooth greens stimping over 13. I played a couple rounds in kohler at blackwolf run and straits and found myself missing the greens at stonewall.

Great Track, lots of forced carries and the greens are firm and fast. Always a fun round of golf but bring your A game you are going to need it.

18th hole is a challenging par 5 stay left on your second shot for the best approach angle, go long on the 3 rd shot and you are in the pond, bounce off the hill short and you are likely in the pond as well.

Course was in beautiful shape and was a great challenge. This is still my favorite golf course in the north west burbs. Pace of play was better than expected for a Sunday. Our foursome had no real delays on any of the holes.

Overall very good experience. Played this course several time in the past, the greens weren't as good and fast ax before.

1st time playing the course, but loved it. Played it from the tips and it is definitely challenging from there. Greens were in good shape and for all the rain we've had recently, the course was mostly dry. A couple holes from the tips have some decent carries to get to the fairway, so unless you can hit it 275 on the fly, play at least the gold tees to make the round enjoyable. Will definitely play again.

It took 3 hours to play 10 holes - too slow for me, so I left the course and will not return.

Stonewall may be the best daily fee course in greater land Chicago. The course sets up in rolling hills and have no housing development. It can play 7,100 yards and a test for even professionals. Greens are perfect and quick usually running 11. It's a gem and for the price it's unbeatable.

I really recomend this course. Fast and nice green, very good condition though the fairway. Amazing!!

This course is by far the best course in the area. Difficult. ...but fair. If play bad...it will show. If good...u can score good. Slope rating 138. Greens phenomenal. Very firm...very fast. Fairways in great shape. Rough perfect. Careful with 5pm ttime cause of traffic....otherwise not better course in the area.

The anticipation of playing this course is amazing! We had great weather and the course conditions were superb! The greens are by far the best in the area and roll true and fast. The staff always helpful and friendly. Played fairways and hit a lot of greens thus shot my best round this year (79) leaving some short putts out there. I will play this course 15-20 times this year.

Great course Please shave the mounds n front of the 18th green and ad a trap to the back of green.

Outstanding design with a country club feel .Course is very fair but can be difficult if playing the wrong tee's . First time playing course and cant wait to return .

Stonewall Orchard is the best conditioned course in Chicagoland. The greens are perfect, fast and true, and the fairways are like carpet. We were the 4th group of the day (playing as a foursome) and we finished in 3:30. I would absolutely recommend Stonewall Orchard to anyone looking for a special golf experience in Chicago. If you have a flexible schedule they even have some pretty good deals later in the day. Stonewall Orchard is a must play in Chicago!

This was my 4th or 5th time I have played Stonewall Orchard since it first opened. I have enjoyed the course each time and have never been disappointed.

I would highly recommend to any golfer to play the course. It is not suited for the beginner, unless they have a lot of natural athletic ability.

The course is a very good value. Green are excellent and would recommend spending time at the putting green to get a feel for the speed.

Beautiful and beautifully maintained course. Stonewall is IMO one of the top 5 courses in the Chicagoland area. It provides a significant challenge from tee to green. The greens, which always roll true, is where the fun begins.

This course is a professional level course. I got it on Golf Now for a decent price and really this is the only way I could have afforded. The course is challenging and well maintained. Some holes are very difficult especially the par 3s.

If you haven't played here you must. Very challenging course but fair. Nicely laid out track with a great balance of sand and water hazards. Pay attention to your club selection off the tees as some do not require driver but can be used (risk/reward). Greens are always true. Pricey is paying full fees but if you are flexible with your playing time you can find discounted green fees.

This course is, simply put, amazing. The greens were perfect, fast, firm. Every hole is beautiful. The setting is serene. The course is very challenging and a lot of fun. You will need to play it a couple times to figure out the lines/strategy on a few holes. If I lived anywhere near here, I would want this to be my home course.

Only suggestions: Might be nice to have GPS in the carts. Perhaps a bubbler or fountain to get rid of the algae on what should be a beautiful, large lake on holes 4,5,16,17.
